June Walker Rogers, a singer, dancer and comedian who performed on Broadway and television and wrote several musicals and a book about how to survive in show business, has died. She was 97.

She died July 8 at her home in Westport, Connecticut, her family announced.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio, and raised in Queens, June L. Walker started dancing at age 5 and soon had a nightclub act, appearing on bills with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Louis Prima, Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield and, when he was known as the singer “Calypso Gene,” Louis Farrakhan.

After being placed in an accelerated pilot program for gifted children in the New York school system, she graduated from high school at 15. She accepted a scholarship to Columbia University but left college to make her Broadway debut in 1944 in the comedy revue Laffing Room Only, starring Ole Olsen & Chic Johnson.

Big news has been revealed for the third season of From. The series will return on Sept. 22, 2024, on MGM+.

The news of From returning in September was announced at San Diego Comic-Con. Along with the premiere date, a new trailer for Season 3 was also released. The trailer was debuted at the IMDboat along with the key art where there was an exclusive meet-and-greet. Attending the From festivities at Sdcc were series stars Harold Perrineau, Elizabeth Saunders, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, David Alpay, and executive producers Jeff Pinkner and John Griffin. The trailer has since made its way online and can be viewed below.

MGM+ has renewed From for season three just days after the conclusion of season two. The third season will consist of 10 episodes, matching seasons one and two.

“The first two seasons of From captivated critics and terrified and engaged fans, who have formed a thriving online community that is trying to put the pieces together week by week as the secrets of the nightmarish town—and possibly beyond—are slowly revealed,” stated Michael Wright, head of MGM+. “We can’t wait for fans to see the surprises ahead in Season Three, which promises more scares and mysteries, but also more answers.”

From season 2 continues the harrowing imprisonment of an entire township of people that began in season 1. From season 2 is now streaming MGM+, and it finds the Matthews family continuing to play a pivotal role on the show.

In From season 2, the Matthews family continues to grapple with internal friction as the town is haunted by an unseen presence. Additionally, the youngest member of the Matthews family, Ethan (Simon Webster), also grows and begins making bigger decisions as he matures.

Imagine finding yourself isolated in your hometown with no way of escaping and mysterious creatures in the forest preying upon you. That is what the characters of the fascinating Epix series From faced in the show's first season. They find themselves confronted with the same situation in season 2, which just debuted on MGM+. Like every character on From, Sheriff Boys (Harold Perrineau) is challenged in new and frightening ways by their predicament.

In From season 1, Sherriff Boyd stepped up to lead the residents of the town as they found themselves and anyone else who entered trapped. Epix’s critically acclaimed horror series From has upped Scott McCord to a season two regular and added five cast members who’ll play the passengers on the bus that showed up at the end of season one. The new additions to the ensemble were announced as production is underway in Nova Scotia on the show’s second season.

New cast members include Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run), Angela Moore (Nancy Drew), Aj Simmons (Reacher), and Deborah Grover (My Next Door Nightmare). Nathan Simmons’ bio notes he’s a fan of the series and is “overjoyed” to be joining the From family.
