Loved the unique and refreshing humor of this film. Came to this after watching and loving the actor's other film, Vinnie's Vantastic Rock N Roll Adventure, and wanting more. This film is quite different from that road film in terms of plot but the humor is still spot on and didn't disappoint. So many cool and unique characters and situations. I couldn't anticipate where the plot and several sub-plots, would twist or turn, which kept it compelling without resorting to easy cliches or stereotypes. Never a dull moment and the excitement really ramps up by the end. Definitely recommend giving this indie gem a watch!

Wasn't sure what to expect from the title but the trailer looked interesting so what the heck... So glad I took the chance on it! I absolutely loved it and laughed a lot! The main character Vinny, whom the movie is centered around was hilarious! His adventures at the AM station will crack you up! I liked it so much I took several friends back to watch it!
This is exactly how I want the rapture to happen. Another strong outing from very adventurous filmmakers. Best movie about radio since that bad Dolly Parton movie.

One of the funniest movies I have seen in awhile... seems like comedies are kind of dying, but this was pretty original . The horror element was a neat twist and it had a pretty interesting moral of the story. Laughing, Spookiness, Tears, Puke.... what more do ya want?

This movie is for those who love or need to laugh. It is an amazing pleasant surprise for me because comedy these days is needed and well I had no idea it would be this hilarious. A must watch and only if you are looking for a great movie that is bringing laughter back in your life. One Actor looks really hot too. But not why I watched it twice .....just overall funny and very entertaining. Sit back and get ready for some laughs.

Disclosure, I am the co-director. But, anyone who makes films knows the real storyteller is the editor. When I saw this movie put together I had no idea it would be as great as it is. There is one recurring thing in the film that is uniquely my vision that I hid from the editor/co-director and happily makes it into the movie as easter eggs. People may see some "mistakes" in the movie background... one day after more people have seen this film, ill reveal my meaning for them. To those reviewing and rating the film, thank you so much. The theater screening audiences (current reviewers) really enjoyed the film. Please do yourself a favor and seek out where to see this film (streaming, DVD, and bluray starting May 3rd).

This one has everything you'd ever want in a movie... Scares, laughs, and maybe even a few tears. Vinnie Vineyard's character comes off like the stoner friend we all had in high school. I can't recommend this indy gem more!

Form the Hike to this movie Big and Funky productions does it again. Another home run of a movie. Go out of your way to see it. You're not going to find anything more original or funny.

The Hike was awesome so I was looking forward to this one. Did not disappoint. They are hilarious and it is plain they had a blast making the movie. I hope they make a dozen more movies, because I will be watching. Stay funky.
You will not want to miss this. These guys are great. From great shows like Wrestling with Ghosts, and the movie The Hike, they always do great things.
As I grew up in the dumb Y2k scare. I have to say the campy horror comedy actually speaks volumes!
It's definitely worth watching and then you can sit and remember how crazy a lot of people back in the late 90s started acting over Y2K and think "Yup people really acted like this!"
Love it!

Loved it. 😄 Rare to find an original take on a film these days, but it'll have you rolling. Great character development and just a super fun watch. Enjoy!

My 72 year old mother, a preacher's daughter, thought this movie was hilarious AND profound. But there were too many boobies for her tastes (exactly one pair is too much for my poor mom). And too much cussing (and her a sailor's wife!).
Just watch the movie. I think everyone ought to. It's good. 💜

This is a perfect example of how creative, hard working, talented filmmakers can make a film better than many Hollywood studios.
The screenplay is consistently funny and hardly has a dull moment. Camera work and editing are seamless and immersive.
Vinny Vinyard gives a standout performance in the lead role. His reluctant late night christian DJ is a perfectly balanced blend of lovable everyman and over the top prankster. He also comfortably shares the screen with the talented supporting cast.
And what a supporting cast! A couple of standout character parts are by Travis Graves( as the cringy station owner's son) and Katie Gannon (you might think she's eye candy, but her deadpan delivery of her wrestling lineage is absolute comic perfection!) Also outstanding is Tracy Yaste. Her flawless dramatic performance as the over pressured struggling station manager adds weight to the ensemble (she is also perfect delivering part of the film's creepy and tragic climax)
But stealing the show is Luke Walker as the stoner sage Arlo! He deserves a best supporting actor in a comedy nomination. Every time he is on screen his delivery and comic timing is perfect. Hopefully his Arlo character will somehow be a reoccurring role in future projects!
WJHC AM is a late night win in every way. Super fun and often creepy, it was a big hit with the group I watched it with!

This second edition of the Smokey Mountain Chronicles is just the kind of weird and wonderful movie that I've come to expect from the makers of The Hike. I loved it, and I can't wait to see what these guys do next!

If you grew up in a small rural town or/and during y2k you will enjoy watching this movie. Any movie that has Street Fighter preachers has to be good.

First few minutes my thoughts were, "okay, kudos for the "hokey appeal!" But wait!!!! Start really paying attention because there are nuances, quirks and cleverness that will have you rolling! Between the pun intended character's names, there's the humorous subliminal messages through the movie. Twists and turn will keep the viewer intrigued, laughing and surprised. I hope there's a sequel, cause I'm all in!! GODJAMIT!!! 😂
The performance from Tony Hack Covington was just breathtaking. Not only the host of Hack's Horror Show but also an amazing actor. I know I'll never see anyone top how well he did in this film. It truly changed my life . I once believed seeing the birth of my child was the greatest moment of my life but it does not come close to the greatest of Hack and his ability to perform so incredibly. The hottest of those glasses was the stuff of legend. I plan to get a Brother Rufus tattoo on my face to show my love to the great Tony Hack Covington. I give him 100 stars and would have his child.
This Movie Has It All. Great Mix Of Actors. Perfect Blend Of Horror and Comedy. An Independent Movie that Looks Amazing . It is Amazing what they did without the Backing of a Big Company.
There is not a whole lot to say. It was absolutely hilarious! It kept me laughing through the whole movie! The acting was great. I cant recommend it enough!!!!

Great movie, always enjoy watching his films! They're always funny, suspenseful, and absolutely fantastic! Was waiting for this ever since the last film! Can't wait to watch this over and over!
This is a perfect horror/comedy never a dual moment in this movie. It also keeps you very interested in the story as well as remarkable performances of the people on the set, BRAVO!

Vinnie Vineyard and Big Luke have done it again. These two seem to have their hands into everything, from wrestling, ghosts, wrestling WITH ghosts, music, now movies such as The Hike and WJHC AM...Just wow.

If you like comedy, horror and a thriller all wrapped in one, with a bit of faith, this is your film. It's an interesting concept where a smart-alecky DJ wants a career in radio and the only place that will hire him is a faith radio station at the time of Y2K. It was interesting to see it shot in black and white only. It also felt a little like Clerks to me. I love how at the end, once he reaches heaven it turns to color and it definitely has a bit of humor (so if you take the religion part too seriously you might not enjoy it - however, it's meant to be a comedy). Not bad for an indie film with a low budget.

I bought this on DVD off a whim on Amazon and wasn't sure what to expect. But heck it's cheaper than a big Mac meal at McDonald's right now so I figured I would bite on the DVD. And I'm pleasantly surprised with how much fun this movie was!
Watching loveable Everyman Vinnie try to make it as a DJ and attempting to get a resume credit by taking a job at a local gospel station was far more entertaining than you would think. And it's especially thanks to the crazy cast of religious nuts that makes his first few days there anything but ordinary. From Snake handling zealots who get what they probably have coming, to a street fight obsessed "preacher" who throws more hadoukens than scripture quotes, they all are memorable and funny. I especially like the female host of God Jammit who really takes a liking to Vinnie.
With all the talk of "end of days", a countdown to Y2K, and increasingly concerning calls to the radio station this movie takes a twist that you both see coming and don't. Taking into account the budget and resources that went into the film, it's pretty well done and entertaining. So maybe skip a trip through the drive through and pick up the DVD or Blu-ray and watch it while enjoying a nice home cooked meal instead. Or better yet watch it on Tubi or Plex for free as that's how I'll be watching their other films!
