Italy is celebrating scoring a rare double whammy in the selection for the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2026 list.

Along with Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore, and Miley Cyrus, the 35-name list – announced by The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday – includes both Spaghetti Westerns icon Franco Nero and special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi who is best known for creating the iconic E.T. character for Steven Spielberg’s “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.”

Italian undersecretary for culture Lucia Borgonzoni in a statement underlined Italy’s pride in the rare double honors for non U.S. talents and thanked marketing guru Tiziana Rocca, who is artistic director of Italy’s Taormina and Filming Italy festivals, for mounting the campaign that led to Nero getting a Hollywood star.

Warner Bros. is delaying the release of its live-action hybrid movie Animal Friends.

The road trip adventure feature is now set to hit theaters May 1, 2026, after previously having been scheduled for Oct. 10, 2025. Peter Atencio directs the film from a script by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider.

Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Addison Rae, Dan Levy, Lil Rel Howery and Ellie Bamber round out the cast. The project hails from Legendary, Maximum Effort and Prime Focus Studios.

Disney’s sequel film The Devil Wears Prada 2 is also scheduled for release on May 1, 2026. Disney’s Avengers: Doomsday recently moved its release date from that weekend to later in 2026.

Animal Friends was originally set up at Sony Pictures and shifted to Warner Bros. last year through the studio’s deal with Legendary.

The Ritual focuses on Father Theophilus Riesinger (Pacino) and Father Joseph Steiger (Stevens) as they aim to assist a young woman who appears to be possessed by demons.

Later, Stevens asks, “What if what she really needs is a doctor?” This leads Pacino to respond, “We are paying a price for your lack of faith.”

The Ritual is inspired by the 1935 book Begone Satan!, which has been at the center of faith-based debate for nearly a century. Midell helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Enrico Natale.

Jon Hamm, John Slattery and Zoey Deutch will star in a new R-rated comedy set against the backdrop of the entertainment industry. The film, which has the placeholder title of Untitled Celebrity Pass Movie, will be directed by David Wain, who is best known for his work behind the camera on “Role Models” and “Wet Hot American Summer.” Sabrina Impacciatore, Ben Wang, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Ken Marino round out the heavyweight ensemble.

Described as an “off-the-rails odyssey through modern day Hollywood,” the film was written by Wain and Marino. Gal Gadot has revealed that she underwent emergency surgery on a brain clot at the same time as giving birth to her daughter.

In an emotional social media update, the Wonder Woman actress said she wanted to share the story of her trauma to help raise awareness of Cerebral Venous Thrombosis in pregnant women.

The ordeal took place in February during the eighth month of her pregnancy, when Gadot said she experienced “excruciating headaches” that confined her to bed.

Actor John Malkovich has just secured a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Being John Malkovich star has boarded the cast of The Fantastic Four, which will mark the prolific performer's MCU debut.

Per Deadline, Malkovich has been cast in The Fantastic Four, the big-budget MCU film that's coming to theaters in 2025. As of now, the actor's role has not yet been revealed, so fans will have to speculate whether he's playing a hero or a villain. His casting follows the recent addition of Paul Walter Hauser, who's also boarded the film in a mystery role. Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, a female version of Silver Surfer, while the starring cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka The Thing), and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka Human Torch).

Starring Jack Irv, Darío Yazbek Bernal, Willem Dafoe and Peter Sarsgaard, the film tells of a drug lord scion on the run from his powerful family. Slumming it in New York in a haze of sex and drugs, he seduces an equally lost young man and pulls him into the city’s underbelly.

The master director, who is being feted with Berlin Film Festival’s honorary Golden Bear on Tuesday night, has a small but powerful role playing an elderly sage who influences Dante Alighieri while he is writing “The Divine Comedy” in Julian Schnabel’s upcoming crime mystery “In the Hands of Dante.”

Though Scorsese has cameoed in many of his movies and occasionally performed in films by other directors – he played Vincent van Gogh in a segment of Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film “Dreams” and also performed as voice talent as the loan shark pufferfish in “Shark Tale” – this role is likely to be among his meatiest.

“He is extraordinary in the film,” Schnabel tells Variety, calling Scorsese’s part “a brilliant, important role” and adding: “You can’t take your eyes off him.”
