History's Greatest Escapes with Morgan Freeman

I do love a good old fashioned prison break story and who better to tell it than Morgan Freeman! Really enjoyed this so far and would love a second season although that probably wont happen.

It's a great show about prison escapes, as far as the show goes! It's just a little difficult to enjoy with the constant overdramatic music in the background. Freeman is, as usual, an excellent narrator. And his role in "Shawshank Redemption" readily comes to mind while watching the show. But the dang music is obnoxious. It doesn't drown out the narration or anything, it's just loud enough - and never, ever, ever takes a break! - to be distracting.

It's fascinating the in dept analisys of the escape plans. The reenactments are well done. I wish there were more interviews with the criminals about their plans, corruption of the guards and acomplices but i imagine the judges won't allow it. Specially in the episodes outside united states. By The way , it needs more of those. There's plenty of material. The police officers interviews i dont like as they barely aknowledge their failures. Morgan Freeman's voice over adds an extra layer of thrill to the show. It is one of those shows you watch in one sitting as it grabs your attention you can ser the time flying.

Not going to criticise what this series is including, but what it's missig: is it deliberately, don't find interesting enough, or have really missed the story of Pablo Escobar's imprisonment and jail break, which is a story at least as interesting as any already included on this series.

Have they really missed that????

I loved the concept for this show, but the execution is just okay. My main issue is with the audio. The vocal audio isn't great - combination of poor annunciation from a number of people (even freeman at times), and low recording volume and it also sounded like some people weren't even wearing mics as they sounded far away. This is all made worse by the dramatic, loud background music.
