Bonnie Aarons Reprised Nightmarish ‘Mulholland Drive’ Role on John Mulaney’s Netflix Show!
Annabelle Creation Premier
Horror fans have become well acquainted with Bonnie Aarons in recent years thanks to her role as Valak the demonic nun in Conjuring Universe spinoffs The Nun and The Nun II, but what you might not realize is that Aarons was invading your nightmares long before that.

Remember the nightmarish “Bum” from David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive? Many consider the character’s brief jump-scare appearance to be one cinema’s most genuinely terrifying moments; back in 2015, Indiewire named the shocking appearance of the filthy vagrant one of the 40 Scariest Movie Moments of all Time, coming in at a respectable #10.

Yes, it was Bonnie Aarons who played the Bum before becoming the Nun!

Elsewhere in the film world, Aarons made her feature debut in 1994’s Exit to Eden as “The Prostitute,” subsequently appearing in films such as Dear God, Shallow Hal, Wristcutters: A Love Story, I Know Who Killed Me, Hell Ride,...

Randal Malone, Performer on the MTV Game Show ‘Singled Out,’ Dies at 66
Image
Randal Malone, who showed up in dozens of low-budget movies and played a “film star” on the 1990s MTV dating game show Singled Out, has died. He was 66.

Malone died Sunday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys after a long battle with kidney disease, his family announced.

Since 2004, Malone served as president of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, a charitable organization that was founded in 1936 and remains one of the longest-running groups of its kind.

While signing autographs to promote Sunset After Dark (1996), in which he appeared alongside former child star Margaret O’Brien and onetime silent-film star Anita Page, Malone was spotted by producer Keven Undergaro.

He was then hired for Singled Out, which counted among its hosts Chris Hardwick, Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra. He portrayed various characters during the show’s three seasons, including “Film Star Randal Malone”; he wore gloves and used a cigarette holder...

The Only Major Actors Still Alive From Smokey And The Bandit
Image
"Smokey and the Bandit" was a delightful '70s action-comedy movie; it spawned two sequels, the first of which was pretty damn good. For a modern audience looking back, the series was also remarkably star-studded. It featured beloved late actors like Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason, Patrick McCormick, and Mike Henry, most of whom are still fondly remembered over forty years after the first movie came out. Although the series itself isn't quite as well-known among today's young viewer as we'd probably prefer, most of its cast certainly is.

But what about the actors in the series who are still alive today? What are they up to? Let's check in on the lives and careers of the remaining "Smokey and the Bandit" cast, and see how they're holding up. We might never get to see that Seth MacFarlane-penned revival series we heard about back in 2020, but it's not time to...

All Your Nightmares Will Go Away When You See the Actor Who Plays The Nun Irl

First, she petrified you in The Conjuring 2, and now the demon nun is back for another round of terror - and this time she's getting her own backstory. Who is playing the titular nun in the upcoming horror film The Nun, you ask? Well, for starters, the actor is the same one who originated the role in The Conjuring 2, but that's definitely not the only place you've seen character actor Bonnie Aarons before.

Image Source: Getty / Michael Tran / FilmMagic

Long before she brought the demon nun to life to terrify Vera Farmiga's Lorraine Warren during a crucial moment in The Conjuring 2, she memorably frightened moviegoers in Mulholland Drive. Aarons played "The Bum," a character who put the jump into jump scare, for David Lynch's twisty film. From there, she landed more roles in horror films like Hell Ride, Drag Me to Hell,...

Boobs, Blood and Bacon: Porkchop (2010) Review
Porkchop from Independent Entertainment and Alternative Cinema is a well-done satire homage to classic low budget 80s slasher cinema. Directed and produced by Eamon Hardiman, a native of Charleston, West Virginia, a location not to far from The Liberal Dead’s main headquarters in eastern Kentucky. The film revolves around a group of six young campers and a robot that retreat into the backwoods of West Virginia for a weekend of booze, drugs, and wild sex inside the abandoned Camp Wood. Soon, a weekend of debauchery turns into a fight for survival when the campers are hunted by a chainsaw-wielding psychopath in a pig mask looking to spill the blood of all those who roam into his territory. The film stars Ruby Larocca, who readers may remember from Evan Makrogiannis’ The Super, Erin Russ (Devil Sister), Ford Austin (Dahmer Vs. Gacy) and Brian Gunnoe. Porkchop will be hitting DVD on December 6th and digital markets.

The Perfect House (2012)
The Perfect House Movie Review
The Perfect House (2012)
Title: The Perfect House Directed by: Kris Hulbert (‘First Times’) and Randy Kent (‘Life of Lemon’, TV’s ‘The John Kerwin Show’) Starring: Monique Parent (TV’s ‘Tanya X’), John Philbin (‘Children of the Corn,’ ‘The Return of the Living Dead’) and Felissa Rose (‘Dahmer vs. Gacy’) The horror genre has multiple successful sub-genres, whether it be Hitchcock-inspired suspense, ‘Saw’-inspired torture-porn or violent, psychological thrillers. The new horror anthology film ‘The Perfect House’ encompasses all three sub-genres with three diverse short stories. All three stories take place in the same house, particularly the basement, and aim to prove that people are sometimes driven to commit crimes by an external evil force. ‘The...

Encapsulated Cinema: Dahmer vs. Gacy, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, and Ninjas vs. Vampires
I love movies that incorporate the word “versus” into the title, even if it is abbreviated. I grew up watching stuff like “King Kong vs. Godzilla” and “Dracula vs. Frankenstein”, so it shouldn’t be that surprising that I would instinctively gravitate towards modern-day motion pictures that attempt to pit one creature against another. And while “Tucker and Dale vs. Evil” doesn’t technically fall into this category, the film is so utterly badass that I simply couldn’t ignore its genius. Since I enjoy saving the best for last, we’ll start things off with the worst of the bunch. Guess which one it is. Go on — guess. Truthfully, you really shouldn’t be that surprised. Dahmer vs. Gacy (2010) I’m a pretty tasteless guy when it comes to comedy, so I don’t mind at all when a motion picture brazenly decides to tip its gnarled toes in controversial waters.

Dahmer vs. Gacy Bringing Their Mayhem to Blu-ray and DVD
Freddy vs. Jason. King Kong vs. Godzilla. Alien vs. Predator. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. We've seen many famous fiends square off on film, but will any of those other great all-time match-ups compare to Dahmer vs. Gacy? The serial killer smackdown produced and directed by Ford Austin from a script by Chris Watson and Andrew Rausch starring Austin as Jeffrey Dahmer and Randal Malone as John Wayne Gacy has already garnered "Outstanding Cast Performance" at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, California, and was voted "Audience Choice Award" winner at the Bare Bones Independent Film Fest in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Dahmer vs. Gacy Wins Award at Action on Film International Film Festival
A film titled Dahmer vs. Gacy doesn't seem the type to be garnering awards at film festivals across the country, but that's exactly what's happening.
