I love vampire movies, werewolf movies, witch movies, etc. But this is one of the worst vampire movies I've ever seen. The stuff the girl wants to do in this movie is unfortunately what a lot of people want to do in todays world but it is not for me. I would never be in an open relationship or anything like that whatsoever. It also goes against anything we ever heard about vampires. I'm not going to say what or give any details because I don't want to give any spoilers not that it would help this movie anyway. The ending could have been a whole lot better such as the "vampires" staying dead. This movie is so bad it should have never even been released.
I was surprised of the origin story actually. Sexy Vampire twists, okay! And hey, if you're into the "lifestyle" then this film is a lot of fun. Me and my wife had a exciting time visually with this one. Fianlly a film that explains these things we live but have to keep quiet from our neighbors.
Funny... "SAFE WORD". That had us laughing. Best part was the jacuzzi scene. Didn't see that coming. Literally. What a buzz kill. Hahaha. Okay no spoilers.
Okay... if there's a Part 2, can you show more of Angelo's backstory. The play part in Rome perhaps! Please! Hahaha
Check it out, but put the kids to sleep first.

Right, well never having heard about the 2024 movie "Swap", I opted to watch it here in 2025 as I had the chance to do so. All I knew about it, from reading the synopsis, was that it was some sort of vampire movie.
The movie starts out with a lewd scene and delves almost directly into another just within the first nine minutes of the movie, and that sort of set the bar pretty low for the movie for me, and I have to say that my expectations went from none to already having an aversion towards writer and director Dallas King's 2024 movie. So yeah, it wasn't really off to a great start. But then again, a movie that is written by, directed by and starring the one and the same person usually tends to be a dumpster fire of a movie. And "Swap" was one such movie, as it was written by Dallas King, directed by Dallas King and starring Dallas King. Enough said.
I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. But I can't claim that I was impressed with what I witnessed. I am, however, a bit flabbergasted that the actors and actresses, well aside from the guy who also wrote and directed the movie as well as starring in it himself, that they would participate in this flaming dumpster fire that was "Swap".
"Swap" is without a doubt the worst vampire movie I have seen, and believe you me, I've seen more than my share of questionable vampire movies. But writer and director Dallas King's "Swap" was the absolute worst. I would highly recommend you not to waste your time, money or effort on this rubbish. Some of us litterally suffered through this travesty of a vampire movie, so you don't have to; you're very welcome.
My rating of writer, director and leading actor Dallas King's 2024 movie "Swap" lands on a generous one out of ten stars.

Trying to help their relationship, a couple heads to a house in the hills to visit several friends who are keen to start initiating them into an openly free sexual relationship which causes him to be far more hesitant of following through with their ideas which hold a dark agenda.
For the most part, this was a problematic erotic horror effort. Among the best elements here come from the main setup that tries to paint a solid picture of the relationship between the couple at the center of everything. As this starts off with the early sexual issues that emerge involving her wanting and being willing to explore other avenues that he's not as excited to go through despite every other aspect being quite fine, this starts up giving a great avenue to exploit and weasel around for the vampire's benefit. The couple's introduction into the society comes off nicely with his more restrained approach compared to her open-minded acceptance of the free-spirited sex that runs through the group that we get to see from the interactions at the mansion. Given plenty of nudity and open sexual shenanigans on display, it's the best element here. There are some big issues here that bring it down. The biggest factor with this one is the focus on sexual shenanigans at the expense of the horror as it takes so long to get going in that regard that it's possible to forget what type of feature it really is. It spends so much time trying to make him comfortable with the sexually open mindset and get comfortable with the situation or going through inane sexual conversations about performance and tactics that it feels more like an erotic drama rather than a genre effort. The idea is there but it stops being interesting when the only hint that something's wrong are brief eye-flashes showing their crimson status to where it feels like a gag to a punchline rather than a genuine aspect of this one. As there are no traditional aspects of the genre explored here and it could be removed without disrupting the story, it comes off as rather disappointing in that regard. That ties nicely into the other real issue with this one in that there's not much here actually in-depth on the vampire nature of the characters. As we've already noticed the sunlight doesn't bother them, the means of transference is a rather confusing one with the rules not quite explained regarding how they operate. That goes even moreso for how the final twist involving the purpose for everything coming together and getting revealed for them, bringing about a confusing and twisted series of logic that has a very high risk of failure that is immensely difficult to believe has a chance of working. Trying to change it around by not giving off a true vampiric backstory but one that's close enough is a flimsy excuse, making for such weak reasoning that there's barely anything about it that feels natural or realistic. Alongside the weak low-budget feel and approach, there are some big issues here.
Rated Unrated/R: Full Male and Female Nudity, Constant Sex Scenes and conversations, Graphic Language, Violence, and drug use.
