The Voice Top 8 Results-Show Recap: Weigh In on Season 21's Final Five
Image
Fans of The Voice took up residence on the edge of their seats Tuesday to learn which of the Top 8 would be advancing to the finale. (Pro tip: pillows on the floor. Learned that one the hard way.)

You already know who I thought would make the cut — though in my heart of hearts, the singers I wanted to see reach the Final Five were slightly different. I was rooting for Team Legend’s Joshua Vacanti over Team Ariana’s Jim and Sasha Allen and Team Blake’s Paris Winningham over teammate Lana Scott.

Tuesday night was full of tears as three talented artists were sent home on “The Voice.” That’s right, the Top 8 was culled down to just the Top 5 as the semi-finals came to a close. Heading into the Top 8 results show, Blake Shelton still had all three team members intact, compared to two apiece for Team Kelly Clarkson and Team John Legend, and just one for Team Ariana Grande. So which three contestants were eliminated one week before the grand finale?

Dean Cain Comes Under Fire for Controversial Captain America Comments
Image
Dean Cain has come under fire on Twitter following recent comments he made about the "wokeness" of Captain America in an interview earlier this week. The actor, whose recent credits include titles like Madness in the Method, Break Every Chain, and Obamagate: The Movie, is best known for his role as Clark Kent on the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He may have experience in playing a superhero, but he's not too thrilled with some of the comic book industry's latest stories.

On Fox and Friends this week, Dean Cain was asked about Marvel's comic book series The United States of Captain America. Specifically, a line in the first issue mentions that the American dream for some "isn't real" and just didn't sit very well with the Superman actor, who feels that anti-patriotism has become the new trend in the nation. Per THR, here's what...

Dean Cain To Direct And Star In Family Comedy ‘Little Angels’ Opposite Helena Mattsson, Carla Jimenez & More
Image
Exclusive: Dean Cain is directing and starring in Little Angels, a family sports comedy that he also wrote.

Helena Mattsson (American Horror Story), Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Torrance Coombs (The Originals), Juliet Donenfeld (The Big Show Show), Alex Jayne Go (Searching) and Ryan O’Quinn have signed on to star opposite Cain in his debut directorial effort, which is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Little Angels revolves around Jake Rogers (Cain), a Division I college football coach at the top of his game who uses a female placekicker as a publicity stunt. When the player misses a field goal, the coach makes an offhand comment in the media about female athletes and is immediately suspended by the university. In an effort to get his job back, Rogers must coach a 12-year-old girls soccer team for the remainder of the season.

‘The Voice’ spoilers: Final knockout pairings revealed for Season 20
Image
The all-important live shows of “The Voice” Season 20 are almost here, but first we have to finish off the knockout rounds. The Monday, April 26 episode will feature the final knockouts of the spring with mega mentor Snoop Dogg, and NBC has already revealed the line-up that fans will see on the two-hour episode. Who’s facing off against whom? Scroll down for your “The Voice” spoilers of these key final knockout pairings, or watch the video above.

The knockouts are the important round yet, as it’s when the contestants get to pick their own songs and show who they want to be as an artist. Their coaches pair them up and both singers perform on the big stage. After the performances, the judge saves one person and sends the other one home … unless a rival coach decides to use their final “steal” to acquire them for their own team.
