Stripped Finally Goes into Production!
We've been talking about John Wildman's horror flick Stripped for about two years now, and we are extremely happy to report that the little indie flick that's home to some stunning eye candy is finally gettin' cookin'!

From the Press Release

Wildworks Productions announced that the horror thriller Stripped, initially set to film two years ago in 2010, will begin principal photography in Dallas, Texas this June. Directed by John Wildman from a script co-penned by Wildman and Justina Walford, the film will star the previously announced trio of popular horror film scream queen Tiffany Shepis (pictured below; The Violent Kind, Night Of The Demons), adult film icon Michelle “Belladonna” Sinclair, who will make her mainstream feature film debut, and internationally accomplished actor Samrat Chakrabarti (The Waiting City, Kissing Cousins). The film also stars Michael Guarnera (“Desperate Housewives”, “NCIS”).

The effort to get the film before cameras is headed by executive producers Ruth Mutch,...

Hold | Review
Director: Frank Mosley Writers: Frank Mosley, Robby Storey Starring: Robby Storey, Stephanie Rhodes It is really difficult to get a hold on Laura (Stephanie Rhodes) and Alan's (Robby Storey) relationship. Hold opens at a party as Alan sits alone on a sofa staring at Laura. (The opening shot is so simple, yet the framing accentuates the fact that we are viewing the action from Alan's -- more importantly, the male -- perspective.) Laura confronts his male gaze and they exchange some quips about their lack of attraction to the other. Well, it turns out that was all just a game. We soon realize that Laura and Alan Marsh are a young, married couple; but even then, we are not quite sure how well they get along together. A conversation Laura and Alan have with a male classmate of Laura's lends the film an unsettling air in which we might suspect...

Exclusive: Dallas filmmakers team up to make web series
Just as I’m about to move off to Austin for a new chapter in my life, I found out this: Frank Mosley (Hold) and Justin D. Hilliard (The Other Side Of Paradise) are teaming up to make a new web series called Komodo, which you can file under “dark” and “funny.” If you’ve seen Hold and Paradise, then you know the aforementioned adjectives come easy for them. I’ve seen almost everything Mosley has done and spoke with him a few times about this project and I’m confident this will take off; these gents take filmmaking very serious and have stamped a name for themselves in the Dfw area.

Dallas Iff Video Interview: Co-Writer/Actor Robby Storey and Co-Writer/Director Frank Mosley (Hold)
Back in the early days of Gatw (several years and many hairs ago) we judged The Dark Horse Film Festival, which featured shorts of mostly college-aged aspiring filmmakers. There were two films at the festival that were primarily awarded most of the honors, Relation starring Robby Storey and Frank Mosley and co-written by both men, and Little Boy written and directed by Frank Mosley. We immediately recognized the immense talent and potential of both these filmmakers. Now, after making impressive short films the boys have made their first feature, Hold. The film is about a couple dealing the after effects of the wife being raped, and it holds (probably inappropriate but definitely intentional pun) up to the quality of Storey and Mosley’s previous collaborations.

Dallas Iff 2010 Video Interview: Co-Writer/Director Frank Mosley and Actress Stephanie Rhodes (Hold)
Hold was directed by Frank Mosley who also co-wrote the film with star Robby Storey This was the first feature-length film written by the two, but not their first time to work together as they wrote the smart and disturbing short film called Relation. However, actress Stephanie Rhodes (who plays one of the two main characters in Hold) had never worked with either Mosley or Storey before, but she did a great job living in Mosley and Storey’s world with Hold.

Diff 2010 Review: Hold
Rating: 7.5/10

Director: Frank Mosley

Writer(s): Robby Storey and Frank Mosley

Cast: Robby Storey, Stephanie Rhodes and Jodie Moore

I’ve seen many indie directors come and go. It’s really hard to make it in this business while working full-time at another job and trying to make a living off making movies. Low-to-no budget films are some of the best ones out there, but collecting revenue is tough. Every so often, one of these movies crosses my path that’s so daring and well-made, I have to tell the world about it. Today, that movie is Hold.

Diff 2010 Preview: Frank Mosley’s Hold
Wow, how time flies. Gatw was just taking baby steps in the movie blogging world when we met writer/director/actor/do-it-all Frank Mosley, who had just made a short film called Little Boy. Some time later, Frank went on to co-star in Justin D. Hilliard’s The Other Side Of Paradise which premiered at last year’s AFI Dallas Film Festival (now Diff). Frank has a new film under his belt, Hold, and since he’s based in the same wonderful town Gatw was started in — Dallas, TX — it’s only right that we kick off our Diff preview coverage with Hold.
