It is a period film made in 1981 and 1982, when Turkish cinema produced very little. In terms of arts and crafts, this series is a very successful production indeed. I consider Cem Yilmaz a very successful craftsman in terms of cinema. Reflecting the spirit of the period, the selection of costumes and accessories, the scenes are at a level that can be called magnificent. In the art part, casting and actor performances, team drama reflected with a single camera angle are really successful. In addition, I think the most striking story is that the character of Alev is an actress on the way that "I want to have a movie where my face is visible". Have a nice watch.
I do like all of Cem Yilmaz's work and Ersan Kuneri is my new favorite. I am already so excited to see more of Ersan Kuneri in the future, additional episodes as well as cameos etc.
From all the set designs, scripts, styling to acting I enjoyed watching this series more than any other production this year. The general idea is brilliant, the topics and mini movies in the series are very clever written but very easy to understand and digest. Watch it alone or with company, its awesome.

I wasn't very fond of his recent show and films but this one has been a pleasent surprise.
Film quality and details that reflect 80s Istanbul atmosphere were superb.
It also sets a good tone between jokes and subliminal messages.
I am not sure if jokes make any sense in English but it's a fun to watch and never to be taken so seriously.

I watched first two episodes and rated the entire series as 5. I was thinking that it was not worth to watch and watching will be waste of time despite the very talented high profile team. Please continue watching a few more episodes before you decide the show is not worth to watch. In case you decide not to watch please do not make the mistake I did and rated the series less than it deserves. Only one episode left for us to watch at the moment and the current feeling we have is sadness, since there will be no more after this one. DOYAMADIK : )
If you are not after a typical show this is it. You need to read between the lines, the dialogues, the cliche's that are refereneced all through the show. The acting is great so are the costumes. The dreams to do better in life of people from an unfortunate industry in the 80s are reflected so well. These people from the porn industry are depicted like cartoon characters based on perceptions of the society in general. It feels like the characters are not based on real actors but the fictional porn film characters we see on the screen which makes this series a satire and a good example of absurd comedy.
