Do you really need sex to sell a movie?

I know I'm a female but do people have to use Sex to sell a movie? I suggest you get attractive woman next time. This has to be disappointing even for men. I watched the movie today because my husband bought it and he found the lame attempt at selling sex a disappointment as well. As a matter of fact he found the whole movie disappointing. I on the other hand disagree with him and enjoyed the silliness of it. The actors were all no namers except a few cameo's, but I liked the other actors better (guess you have to have names on the cover). I didn't really like the female lead but I liked her chemistry with the lead actor. The Marty character was played well and felt genuine compared to the obnoxious characters surrounding him which I did enjoy. The other characters are so great, I wish they would have just made a movie about them and left out the Sex crap. The movie was about porn being shot in the back of a car lot to help them raise money and out do another lot. Maybe I'm not familiar with how dealerships work but this situation was unrealistic with the cowboy banker making them compete. Again the movie is silly and light hearted, but I think it may take a certain taste. I liked it, my husband hated it.

    Suggest renting not buying.

    Watch for free

So I watched this with a friend the other night. He said it was going to show me the dumbest movie ever. Turned out I liked it. Now with that said I think I judged it more on, it was so stupid it was funny. Like Porky's (but not as good) and retarded like police academy. So right off the Bat you can tell this movie is something independent and I don't mean independent like from a studio, but independent like far away from people who might know how to make a movie (professionals). So I judged it like that and began to enjoy it once I got past the banker scene (There should have been a bank). I think he is supposed to be a banker? Anyway the acting was good for what appeared to be local actors in your home town, So the Director did okay there but failed when it came to camera movement and production design. Take the camera off the tripod! My biggest complaint was production design. This whole movie failed when it came to production design. I could do better production design than this. Who ever hired your production designer, should never do the hiring for any movie again!! Buy this movie and you will regret it. Watch it for free and you might enjoy their attempt at making a film. I rate it a Hollywood 4 but an indie comedy 6.

Used car salesman suffers from life issues

The film is terrible, just unwatchable. I didn't want to finish, but I felt I had to in order to write a review. The filmmakers are inexperienced at best and it is clear that the only way this film made it to distribution is the nudity content. If we are lucky, this director James and this producer Aufmuth will never make another film...EVER! The only thing good I have to say about the film is the lead. Chris Mascarelli has an ability and I hope this was an early career choice. I would hate to see him loose work because of this piece of you know what. The special effects were weak, the acting lame, and the production value low. If this Aufmuth did spend half-a-million on this film, he must be kicking himself.

    Why are these movies made?

I took a film class once so I kind of know what it takes to make a film. It basically starts with a good script. This is a bad script. There are more writers on this film than clearly are necessary. I also looked at the budget posted and wonder "Where did all that money go to?" Because the truth is, I do not see the money on the screen. It's a shame that real filmmakers, good filmmakers don't have access to that kind of money where as guys who have money and think they can make movies do this kind of stuff. I guess when you start using actors like Corey Haim - drug addict- and Ron Jeremy - old porn star - this is the kind of product you end up. Sad really. Avoid this film.

Man tries to make money at car dealership through mob

The film starts right off with gratuitous nudity. I suppose that is what it takes to make films today! Then it became progressively worse. There are a lot more nudity and sexual situations than certainly need to be in a film. Especially one with such a poor story. From time to time there is a single moment that made me smile, but they are so far and few between. Those moments never seem to have any purpose in the context of the entire film. I also noticed that the executive producer had a small part in the film - please don't ever do that again. I understand because you are signing the checks, you can do whatever you want, but wow, he can't act. On the whole, I am just glad it wasn't me who shelled out the money to watch it.
