The Boathouse (2021)
When Anne (Michaela Kurimsky) is hired by her missing music professor's husband (Alan Van Sprang) as a live-in nanny, she becomes entangled in the family's secrets and begins to mentally unravel. Ostensibly stranded at a remote lakeside cottage, she's driven to consider the circumstances behind her mentor's disappearance. Employing a nonlinear narrative, Hannah Cheesman's old-school psychological thriller keeps Anne teetering on the brink of an implosion as she hurtles towards a reckoning with the past.

    Hollow and empty

This is not a horror movie! Its not a thriller, its not scary, and its not creepy... It is barely a drama!

Its a dragging story with hollow acting. No dephts.

It is well produced, but the way the story is told it feels flat and hollow... The main character is not a good actress.

Meh... Like a slightly better done lifetime movie at best.

We've already seen this story done to death. And sadly these actors didn't bring anything new or exciting. Was pretty run of the mill. I felt bad for the poor bunny and the little girl. :( If your not a lifetime movie style fan, then Skip it.

    Boring

After watching the trailer I decided to give this film a shot. I liked the concept but unfortunately It was a total waste of time. The writing was dismal and the film didn't have the suspense factor I was hoping for. I'm surprised I actually sat through the whole thing. It's not a film I'd recommend. 4 stars.

    Musical talent or jealosy

We slowly learn that the Boat house has secrets, a babysitter appears to have her own psychological history but finds escapes as a babysitter for her music supervisor.

The director has closed grip on the tale of suspense , the movie seems to me worth watching one time by the fans of psychological horror-thriller.

Our protagonist has justification for what she does, we do not see her punished by law.

    Dead Giveaway

When the title differs from the title on the poster, it's a dead giveaway that the movie is bad. Not rating because there's no way I could get through this. Plodding and dull.

Also, there's a spoiler in the Goofs, which is visible on the main page. There are often times spoilers in the keywords, also viewable on the main page. And in reviews when they're not marked as containing them. I'd personally fix these things.
