Sous le signe du démon (2008)

Trivia

Sous le signe du démon

Edit
Marketed as the first Russian slasher film, which is not entirely correct, as Putevoy obkhodchik (2007) was released a year prior. However it's one of the very few slashers filmed in Russia, with the others being Diggery (2016) and Dizlayk (2016). All the other horror film from the country are either supernatural or psychological.
SSD has various meanings: Death to Soviet Children ("Smert' Sovetskim Detyam"), Horror Stories of Soviet Childhood ("Strashilki Sovetskogo Detstva"), or The Scariest Day ("Samiy Strashniy Den'"). According to the filmmakers, all of the titles are valid.
After the shooting Karina Myndrovskaya (Lika) married the director Vadim Shmelyov, thus becoming the stepmother to her co-star Stanislav Shmelev (Fyodor), who is 11 days older than her.
Won a special jury prize at Roma Fiction Fest 09.
On October, 2nd, 2009 a film "S.S.D." has been shown within the limits of competitive program Marbella International Film Festival '09.
