See Jamie Campbell Bower Shred as the Lead Singer of an English Punk-Rock Band

Jamie Campbell Bower: tentacled "Stranger Things" villain and . . . talented musician? After making his season four debut as One/Vecna/Henry Creel, the show's confusing yet supernaturally attractive villain, Bower has become a fan favorite, but his acting talents aren't the only reason we're obsessed. In addition to starring in popular fantasy films like "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" and "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald," Bower is also a skilled musician who can shred a punk-rock song on the guitar or serenade a crowd with his impressive piano playing.

The "Stranger Things" star, known on stage as Jamie Bower, kickstarted his music career in London in 2015 when he helped form the English punk-rock band Counterfeit. Additional members included guitarist Sam Bower (the actor's brother), guitarist Tristan Marmont, bassist Roland Johnson, and drummer James Craig. Korea’s Showbox Launching ‘Another Record’ at Busan Market
Image
Korean actor Shin Se-kyong, star of “Tazza: Another Card” and current TV series “Run On,” is the subject of “Another Record,” an unusual documentary film being launched this week at the Asian Contents & Film Market. Showbox, one of Korea’s longest-running film production, distribution and sales companies, is handling rights sales.

The company is pitching “Another Record” as “the unknown story of the well-known Shin Se-kyeong.” Given Shin’s current popularity and her huge social media following (45 million YouTube views of her content) anonymity seems an unlikely status. But the film attempts a fly on the wall approach.

Rather than conduct straightforward interviews with the actor, the film follows Shin as she takes a walk around Seoul, meeting various people, has food, and stops for drinks. While sharing stories, Shin tells parts of her story that she had never revealed before.

The film is directed by Kim Jong-kwan, who previously...

Series Mania Hot Project: ‘Thirty-Nine’ From Korea’s Jtbc
Image
Producer and broadcaster Jtbc has such a strong track record of making attractive and successful Korean TV drama series from tales of everyday lives that almost everything it does is likely to attract attention. Adding the presence of Son Ye-jin, star of Studio Dragon and Netflix hit “Crash Landing on You,” makes “Thirty-Nine” potentially one of the hottest Korean series of 2022.

The title is a reference to the age of three female friends who are only just the right side of forty. The 12-part romantic drama depicts them juggling life, work and relationships as they approach mid-life.

Son, who had the starring role in early 2000s blockbuster films “The Classic” and “April Snow” but in recent years has focused more on TV, plays the head of a dermatology clinic in Seoul’s affluent Gangnam district. She is joined by co-stars Jeon Mi Do (tvN’s “Hospital Playlist”) as a drama...

Today’s decently-sized drop brings with it a handful of notable releases, too, primarily comprised of brand new original Netflix content that’s certain to be right up the alley of some folks. However, there’s one new non-original offering as well and it just so happens to be the day’s biggest addition.
