The majority of the film's budget was independently funded by director Sarah Kambe Holland while she was still studying at University of Central Florida. She shopped around the proof-of-concept film Egghead & Twinkie (2019) to various festivals to collect film grants, and raised additional funds on the Seed&Spark platform. In total, she amassed a $100K budget.
