- Kratos: I will not allow you to defy the gods.
- Atreus: I don't want to fight anyone, I just want answers!
- Kratos: And what if those answers lead to war with Asgard?
- Atreus: Maybe that's what Mother wanted.
- Kratos: You do not know what your mother wanted!
- Brok: May this weapon strike true. May it be wielded with wisdom. May it be put down when its job is done.
- Odin: [From trailer] What do you think you know of godhood? In your lifetime has anyone ever worshipped you? Ever prayed to you? Can you even imagine that kind of love? No! You don't care about anything beyond yourself; beyond the monster who kills without cause.
- Kratos: I came to these lands to escape my past. To start a new life. I can hide no longer. I do not want this war. We have suffered enough. Prophecy did not lead us here. Nor will it win this battle. Wars are won by those who are willing to sacrifice everything. If that is the cost of vengeance... so be it.
- Freya: Odin has taken so much from us already. The realms have suffered enough. No matter the cost, this ends today.
- Freyr: If going out in a blaze of glory means Odin burns too, then that's where I'll be. With a big, fat smile on my face.
- Atreus: For Brok.
- [Kratos steps forward and blows the Gjallarhorn]
- Kratos: [From trailer] What is it you will not tell me?
- Atreus: I can't talk about it. But I need you to trust me.
- Kratos: We follow your every whim.
- Atreus: But you don't believe in any of it!
- Kratos: And still I follow! Because all that matters is that you are safe.
- Atreus: But that's not all that matters. Who's keeping you safe?
- Kratos: I do not need you to protect me.
- Atreus: Are you sure about that?
- Tyr: [From trailer] I know you, god-killer... what is it you want from me? Is it a god of war you came to find?
- Odin: [From trailer] You don't really want war, do you Kratos? All that blood on your hands; on your son's hands?
- Brok: Oh yeah? And what's to stop the All-Fucker from spyin' on ya, or a Raven peckin' yer house to splinters while yer asleep in it?
- [Kratos, Freya and Mimir's head search for the home of the Norns]
- Mimir: There's that itchy sound again. Normally I don't mind ladies whispering in my ear, but this is positively irksome.
- Freya: Anyone ever tell you that you babble when you're terrified?
- Mimir: Terrified? I'll have you know I am, at the very most, deeply apprehensive. And breaking tension with humor is the sacred duty of a traveling companion. How very dare you! Babblin'...
- Atreus: So, with two Hafgugas free, are they going to be able to, uh... make more?
- Mimir: Almost certainly! A bittersweet spectacle... considering the cost.
- Kratos: The cost?
- Mimir: Aye. The adult's light fades as they pass it on to their offspring.
- Atreus: Hold on. Are you saying they have to die to have kids?
- Mimir: They don't have to, but... the more light they give, the higher the chance of their offspring's survival.
- Atreus: Damn. That's... wow.
- Kratos: It is what parents do.
- Atreus: Really? All parents are supposed to die for their children?
