Boring movie. From the beginning to the end the movie was very slow and it felt like the writer wants to extend the timing of the movie for no reason. It would be better if they had gone with short film. The story line is so bad and you can predict what will happen. Only the actors did their part well and only because of that i gave 3 stars for 3 of them.
In yet another tale of what could have been, Irul builds up a superb premise consisting of an intricately woven set of characters in a delightfully macabre setting, only to end in a simplistic fashion that denied the climax the narration deserved.
The film excels in every technical department, especially the exceptional sound design. I was given jolts at many junctures and the depth effects given to the noises of water leaking had me look around to see if in fact some pipes were left open in my own washroom!
But alas, the superb making style and the intense performances of the three leads is undone by a culmination of events that left a lot to be desired.
A one time watch, purely for the classy making and the phenomenal performances. But if you are looking for a truly well-rounded whodunnit, this isn't it.

Good story. But a good story need some interesting expansion. You may use a single camera but that is no more artistic to keep moving thta camera often. This was never a thriller in any length of frame. Good thing - a short film.no guys do it better next time.
The build up was terrific. But the story and screenplay were horribly confusing and weak. Big disappointment.
Irul involves three characters played by Fahad, Soubin and Darshana inside a house where the discovery of a dead body creates tension among the three.
Credits shows writers list include 4 or 5 people. They did end up having decent dialogues included uet couldn't seal the plotholes.
Fahad as usual, did a wonderful job where he created curiosity in the beginning and tension post an hour. Darshana seems to have done a good job yet was irritating at times which is pretty fine.
The technical department and production set of the film is amazing considering the Covid protocol mediated limitations.
The only con apart from plotholes in the film is Soubin who not only struggles to keep up with Fahad and Darshana but also fails in conveying proper emotions when needed. He is unsure what to emote during scenes with Darshana in the car, the annoying "electrocuted by calling bell" scene, his appearance which ill fits his young character ( he does show his 40yrs of age) and worst of all his dialogue delivery which is apt only for 'Saji' from Kumbalangi Nights. Soubin is not able to improve his voice and dialogues even after failed performance in Ambili, Trance, and Android Kunjappan. Even Nivin Pauly who stayed in comfortable comic romeo typecast proved himself with Moothon after classes from Mumbai. Soubin should either improve or should reconsider his acting career. Even his monotonous comic roles has become irritating after 5 years.
Overall a good directorial debut, decent writing, great performances and cleverly cut down run time.
Srinath Bhasi/ Roshan Mathew could've replaced Soubin and it would've been a good thriller.
