This movie is a remake of a Korean movie THE CALL. It is the same story and same plot line but scenes were different as we are aware of Telugu scenes some are really good and some are not upto the level. If u have not seen the movie in Korea u can watch the movie bit I personally recommend you to watch in Korean version it gives u the native feeling.

A very good movie great screeplay...One of kind Nonlinear movies .Hatoffs to director but he should give credits to The Call korean movie . Do watch the movie !

Watch it only for plot leave rest of the things in movie.

I would like to request some of the misinformed reviewers or users to do a proper research before calling this a Korean remake. Playback's first teaser came in Dec 2019, where as The Call movie is released in Nov 2020. Playback release got delayed due to Corona.

Understand the meaning of a remake or fremake. Cross time connection is a plot point used in multiple movies in World Cinema. Same with Time travel or Amnesia. That doesn't mean all are copied from each other. The only common element in all these movies (Frequency or Mirage or The Call or Playback) is cross time connection. Nothing else. Not the plot or screenplay or even the device used. So please exercise caution before using terms like copied or remake or freemake. Be responsible and accountable for what you write as a review.

Playback is a genuine attempt done by their makers to introduce a new genre in Telugu Cinema. Atleast be proud of that, instead of doing some routine mill of a movie. If the same movie had come in some other language, we would have praised them to heavens.

The team of Playback is comprised of new comers with lot of hopes pinned on this movie. They toiled for 2 years to make this movie and get it released. They have no big banner or heroes to have a wide release. Yet, they came until here.

So if you can't encourage them, atleast don't discourage them. It pains a lot when your hard work gets labeled as a copy or remake, just because of some half knowledge reviewers or users.

PlayBack - is an Outstanding film that came in Telugu screen in the recent times. Very daring attempt by the makers to make such a film in Telugu. We should encourage such movies, so that we will see more of such new concept films made in Telugu. Dont miss it guys. Its a Must watch.

Hats off to @Hari Prasad Jakka - the director to have pulled of this film in such a budget and the producer DJ to have backed it.

Superb story, some are saying this is a remake of The call (2020) movie but this movie teaser is released in 2019 only. Don't think this is a remake.

Best performances by the leads, bgm is great. Only the production is low. Let us encourage new talent.

Movie is amazing and Different conspect ,iam not getting the words to define the story such a amazing conspect it is.

Obviously, the movie is heavily inspired by some Korean movie and western shows like Frequency. The story overall is pretty good (minus climax) and almost maintains a good pace but was ruined by some terrible acting.

Came up with nice story line and screenplay was too intresting to watch the movie.

A low budget multi verse and time travel concept with a grippinh story line. Director aptly managed all the logical things and made sure there were no loop holes in his narrative. Actors were okay, but its the story that makes you stick to tha seat. All in all very impressed by the movie and I think its a nust watch for everyone.

Concept copied from Hollywood movie Frequency even though we can see some changes but the main concept is based on Frequency movie, even a web series came out on Frequency.

Must watch movie Feel good movie. Liked some movie after a long time.

The is out of the box content in tfi. Could have focused on cast and some lags nevertheless ended on high must watch.

This is one of best time travel movie I have ever seen.

Great watch. Poor production quality. Gripping storyline and presentation. A bit slow at the beginning but very good towards the end. Tried to do a Christopher Nolan like film...

Two different timeline people come across each other. New concept. Sujata lives in 1993 and Dinesh lives in 2019. As per physics concept a timeline disturbed by any circumstances, that leads to a parallel way of two different time paths. In 2019, she didn't meet Dinesh. Does her life came to end? After all the above, Dinesh came to know that she was gifted mother who nourished him during his childhood. Then he took the responsibility of her whereabouts in present state. Will he find her? What are the ups and downs that he met his travel is the remaining story. Director himself took the task of story and screenplay which proves how the movie will shaped a perfect.

No turnings, no twists, no confusion, no evil songs. Not missed the target shot the heart of people. Perfect clarity. Every body acted smoothie. We never have a feeling while watching the movie that a big hero or glamarous heroine is missing. Director proves how a wonderful movie be expected by us. Somebody told it's a copy of Korean movie. I don't agree. We capable to make such movies atent we? Off knowledge reviewers can make a note those movies complete in 2019 itself, due to pandemic was release late. Please dont interesting te this movie as it hadnt big heroine or hero. We have to inspire ourselves. Congratulations to whole team.

Went in with low expectations - what a terrific, tight plot!

...and its name is Play Back! Screenplay is unbelievably bad and the performances are uninspiring. Ananya Nagalla does a decent job, and even she falls short in many scenes, all thanks to the director. I tried my best to give my attention to this movie up until the first half. But, as soon as the second half begins, it's all downhill. Felt like watching a telugu serial.

Karthik is an investigative crime reporter from 2019, while Sujatha is from 1993 . An accidental cross time phone talk connects them. When Karthik knows about her difficulties, he tries to change her future by changing the incidents from her past. I liked very much and I thank director of this superb movies ,I wish all to see the movie.

Movie is all good, but the climax could have been heart touching when they meet. However, it was all through out entertaining with a heartful connect across the timezones.
