This right here is the future of covering sports, they say what they want how they want, no filter, and they get well known stars athletes and non athlete from all over too go on there show. Very lucrative future for these boys and the clear format for success moving forward.
This was a good show when it first aired on ESPN in 2023. It was funny, topical, and entertaining. I'm not sure exactly what changed but it's hard to watch not. One thing I've noticed is, they'll jump from topic to topic so quickly, I wonder what they're talking about. They can be talking about NFL training camp and in the next sentence they're talking about the French Open tennis tournament.
The thing that made me stop watching though, was whenever a certain topic comes up, they entire cast will sing a song, or start barking like dogs or something silly. That isn't even the problem so much, but they just keep on doing it. They'll sing for 2 or 3 minutes, or bark, then go back to talking and then start barking again. It's just silly, it's not worth the time to listen or watch serious sports talk.
But it's still better than the Jalen Rose, Max Kellerman, Elle Duncan, and Mina Kimes type shows. Those were even worse.

The Pat McAfee Show - 10 out of 10
"For the Brand." For the People. And for the pure love of sports and chaos.
Let's be real - The Pat McAfee Show isn't just a show, it's a movement. It's what happens when you give a wildly charismatic former NFL punter a mic, a crew of trusted friends, and zero corporate leash - and the result is one of the most refreshing, unfiltered, high-energy sports shows we've had in decades.
Why It Works So Damn Well:
Pat McAfee Himself - The Heart of It All Pat is unlike any other host in the game. He's not just a talker - he's a storyteller, a showman, a dude who lives and breathes this stuff. His NFL background gives him credibility, but his authenticity is what draws people in. He doesn't posture, he doesn't play characters - he's Pat. One hundred percent uncut. One minute he's hyped up on caffeine and cutting a WWE promo, the next he's breaking down a game-winning drive with elite insight. He makes you feel like you're in the room.
The Boys - Cohesion, Comedy, and Chemistry The crew around him - AJ Hawk, Ty Schmidt, Tone Digz, Darius Butler, Boston Connor, and the rest of the cast - is just as important. They're not sidekicks; they're teammates. This isn't your typical talking heads lineup. These guys have real chemistry, and you can tell they've known each other for years. The show flows because of them. It's real banter, real laughter, and when they get serious, it hits harder because it's coming from a place of truth.
The Guests - From Aaron Rodgers to the WWE Ring The guest list is legendary. One week it's Aaron Rodgers casually dropping future headlines, the next it's a WWE star, a coach, or an up-and-coming player. Whether it's a laugh-out-loud moment or a deep dive into mental health and leadership, the guests feel more like family reunions than interviews. That's the McAfee effect - people let their guard down.
The Energy - Controlled Chaos Done Right It's loud. It's fast. It's unpredictable. But that's what keeps it electric. The show runs on passion and caffeine, not scripts. And when it hits, it hits. Even the ad reads are events. Whether it's sports, culture, locker room stories, or spontaneous eruptions of yelling, it's organized chaos - and it works.
Final Word:
The Pat McAfee Show is gold.
It's the perfect storm of insight, entertainment, and no-filter sports talk. It's the show that feels like your smartest, funniest friends talking ball at a bar - if your friends had million-dollar studios and direct lines to NFL quarterbacks and WWE legends. If you're not watching it, you're missing the most real, most fun, and most fearless sports show out there.
Let it fly, baby.
