Producers for The Boys (2019) reached out to Patrick Schwarzenegger after meeting him when he auditioned for Homelander in the original series. He wasn't allowed to read any scripts until he was officially cast.

The cast and producers were set to reconvene for the second season's first table read the afternoon of March 30th,2024 ahead of the start of filming on Monday April 8th,2024 in Toronto. Instead the they found out about the news of Chance Perdomo's death in a motorcycle accident. Production was then immediately put on indefinite hold.
Godolkin University seems to be named after John Godolkin. In the The Boys graphic novel, he was a child molesting leader of supe group G-men.
Jazz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo both appeared in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Both played prominent characters, Sinclair as Sabrina's best friend Roz and Perdomo as Sabrina's cousin Ambrose.
