Inspired by the studio’s hilarious 2005 blockbuster, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Prototype was a superhero game developed by Radical Entertainment that sought to give players a power fantasy that was uncommon in video games. It did that pretty well for the most part, and it was indeed well-received by critics and the general public. The result of that was a sequel, which most of its players also found to be positive.

However, despite its intriguing concept, its spectacular gameplay, and its modest early success, the franchise ultimately died a short death. That is why it’s high time Activision should reconsider making a remastered version of Prototype with Radical if there isn’t any plan for any sequel, just like Capcom did with Resident Evil.
Fans want a remastered version of Prototype If there isn’t any Prototype 3, then a remaster can also do the job.

Sequels are common in the entertainment industry, often driven by the success of a previous title. And the video game industry is no different. These sequels can range from unnecessary to outright detrimental to the original game’s legacy.
While some manage to surprise with their quality, others fail to capture what made the original game special. Some sequels leave players wondering, “Did we really need this?” Here are five video games that made sequels nobody asked for.
1. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II wasn’t quite what a sequel should’ve been. | Steam
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a classic example of an unnecessary sequel. The first game offered a complete story with two distinct endings, providing a sense of closure. But the sequel brought back the protagonist as a clone, undermining the original’s narrative.

We’re back in Jagged Edge Productions territory with Snake Hotel, which stars Scott Jeffrey regular Danielle Scott as one of a group of women given a chance to get out of prison early if… if… they agree to take part in a game of cat and mouse with a giant mutated snake. A snake!
Hey, at least we’re not retreading nursery rhyme or fairytale terror in this one!
As bizarre premises go, Snake Hotel isn’t actually that weird – after all, back in 2021, Jagged Edge Productions produced Dinosaur Hotel which had pretty much the exact same premise, only with (obviously) dinosaurs instead of snakes! Well, not quite the same premise. Dinosaur Hotel...

Spider-Man isn’t exactly the first character that comes to mind when one thinks of comic-book horror, but the iconic wall-crawler has actually dealt with his fair share of terror since his debut back in 1962. From his tragic part in the Marvel Zombies crossover to being forced to battle against monstrous villains like Carnage and The Lizard, there’s no shortage of horror-inspired stories starring our favorite web-head.
That’s why it makes sense that one of the most famous Spider-Man yarns centers around an extraterrestrial parasite that feeds off of aggression, with the aptly named “Alien Costume Saga” touching on elements of body horror and introducing a new monstrous antagonist in the form of Venom (who would later be rebranded as an anti-hero due to the character’s overwhelming popularity). 35 years later, this story is still influencing Spider-Man adaptations, with the most recent example being Insomniac’s upcoming Spider-Man 2,...

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was given a nine day theatrical release in the US back in February, and now it has received a digital release! Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is available for rent or purchase on Amazon’s Prime Video at This Link.
A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of last year, and that’s how Frake-Waterfield was able to make this movie happen, no permission required. The filmmaker explained to Variety that Pooh and Piglet (go) on a rampage after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin. “Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult. Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So...

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is plotting a horror cinematic universe based on beloved children’s story characters that are in the public domain. He was the director of the recently released Winnie-the-Pooh horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (read our review Here), and he’s in development on movies like Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare. Since these characters are public domain, he doesn’t have to ask anyone’s permission to put a horrific twist on their stories. But if copyright wasn’t an issue, Frake-Waterfield would also like to make horror movies featuring characters like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Teletubbies.
Speaking with Collider, Frake-Waterfield said, “I’ve really been excited by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately because I think the story has a very kind of horrifying undertone anyway because it’s these half-human, half-turtles who live in the sewer who have a rat king who they follow,...

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will be getting a nine day theatrical release though Fathom Events in the US on February 15th – and not only is there already a sequel in the works, but Frake-Waterfield has also confirmed that all of the horror movies he’s making based on public domain characters from children’s stories (including Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare) exist within the same cinematic universe, which will allow for crossovers down the line!
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Frake-Waterfield said, “The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers. People have been messaging saying they really want to see Bambi versus Pooh.“

A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of this year – and as soon as that happened, writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield was right there to take advantage of their public domain status. For his feature debut, Frake-Waterfield has dropped the iconic characters of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet into a slasher called Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. A trailer for the film has now been released, and you can watch it in the embed above.
Frake-Waterfield explained to Variety that Pooh and Piglet

Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots.

Proportion Productions are back once again with Another slice of British genre filmmaking with Prototype – not to be confused with the recently released The Prototype – this time focussing on science-fiction (with a horrific edge) in a story set in the very near future, when life-like androids with artificial intelligence have been created to help people with menial household tasks.
The prototype, One, created by Roger Marshall and tested by his family, proves to be popular but flawed. Roger has been working on a new model, Two, whose improved features show promise of its super-human abilities. As tensions rise between Roger and wife Shelley, the androids malfunction and the lives of the whole family are soon in danger of Two’s sinister plans…
