Biscuit Week

I admit it. I'm prejudiced. Part of my love for this show was because of mary berry. Last year was okay but now I'm confused. Is this what brits find funny? I don't like speaking ill of people but c'mon it looks the show is devolving into a reboot of the addams family. The contestants too seem to have been picked especially too for their flamboyance and flair and complimentary personalities. The sidekicks are creepy, jokes not funny, and not much to admire in the contestants or competition.

This all looks very promising. There's enough potential in the bakers for this to be a contest, and all the personalities are growing on me. I'm even learning names.

Matt seems to be settling in as host, playing the "I'm bewildered by everything that's happening" card, which Noel himself did to good effect when he first started.

The only thing for me that isn't working is the new length of the programme, with an extra 15 mins being added. With so many bakers and enough ad breaks already, I do wonder if Channel 4 are overcooking something that was working fine before.

Another fun and wholesome episode with biscuit week. The contestants are lovely to watch, the hosts fairly humorous, and great bakes. Well deserved star baker.
