As courtroom drama, "Nail Polish" evidently works well to an extent. With gratifying performances & plenty of suspense; it undoubtedly keeps you engaged for the totality of its runtime. That being said, to call it one of the 'Greatest' thrillers ever made; would be outrageously far-fetched.
An acknowledged thriller demands a handful of fundamental constituents. Great piece of writing, fluently crafted screenplay, quite a bit of eventful acts from the ensemble cast, and more importantly a much-needed technical dexterity.
Now if you take anything out of this pristine equation, the conclusion will indeed be affected. And that's exactly what just happened here!
Despite having a reasonably well-drafted script in hand, the writers pointlessly added several redundant subplots which thereafter failed to come to a resolution. It not only made the screenplay outstretched, but it also became less comprehensive in regards to separate character build-ups.
Albeit somewhat foreseeable; the storyline is fascinating enough to keep me on the edge. Primarily a courtroom drama, this narrative takes a turn for worse when it momentarily comes out of its comfort zone!
Amongst all the seasoned performers like Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul; who undoubtedly played their respective roles with thorough commitment and perseverance. Regardless, my biggest complaint is about the individual character arcs in here. It's as if the makers didn't pay any sort of attention!
For instance, the prosecution lawyer; Amit Kumar played by Anand Tiwari. Why is he being used as comic relief in certain places? We all know about his capacity as a deft performer, then was it really necessary to make his mannerisms akin to a moronic personage? Especially considering the fact that the film itself deals with more dark and delicate subjects!
In all honesty, such offbeat treatment; it went over my head!
In India, Authentic Thrillers; let alone Psychological ones are barely in their infancy. And there's much room for further improvisation. However, I do admire the sincere efforts coming from aspiring creators nowadays.
A pivotal step in the right direction.

Mr. Manav kaul, simply killed it. This might be one of the underdogs when it comes to webseries or ott platform movie, but this is pure acting skills.

ZEE5 Nail Polish is a psychological drama, which changes color in the court. Despite all the scientific evidence against Veer Singh, Jai Singh argues: Unless science is accurate, it is not science, its astrology, where planets can be taken to get desired results.
This story revolves so fast at its mid-point that many vortices are formed. In the mind of the viewer, however, they are born. Veer Singh's character becomes a challenge for the court and the viewer as to what opinion to form about him. The three judges, lawyers, and spectators have to think here.
The film 'Nail Polish' is a film made only for adults, but here this information is only for brainstorming.
The film runs at a slow pace and completes its talk in about two hours and five minutes. From time to time in ZEE5 Nail Polish, new colors, new hues emerge and the thrill remains.
The film leaves the answers to the questions to the audience. The film exposes the weaknesses of the law but it is not a melodrama like the 'blind law'.
This is a story based on a solid basis, to understand it, you just have to keep your mind alert.

Nail Polish is a suspense thriller and a gripping courtroom drama starring Manav Kaul, Arjun Rampal, Anand Tiwari and Rajit Kapur. The story is about a decorated army officer played by Manav Kaul who is accused of sexually assaulting and murdering immigrant children in cold blood . Arjun Rampal essays the role of his high profile lawyer with Anand Tiwari playing an honest but bungling prosecutor. Rajit Kapoor is the judge presiding over this high profile case, dealing with demons of his own. All evidence presented in court points to Manav Kaul as the perpetrator of the heinous crime but is this actually the truth? As the case proceeds more and more things come to light culminating in a very well etched out climax. The twists and turns are also very good. All the 4 lead actors have played their parts very well, especially Manav Kaul. Verdict: Grt one time watch. Gripping, fast paced and riveting. A bit dark at times(no sex scenes or profanity though). 9stars out of 10 from me for a earnest attempt frm the makers. Adios....🙂

The movie started with 1 case but before interval a big twist arrived, that lead to another confusing case. This is an edge of seat thriller, once you started the film you can't stop until the end.
Arjun Rampal was calm and so cool in the film. Manav Kaul & Rajit Kapoor were also too good. Samreen Kaur in her less screen timing was so beautiful. Only negative point was the judge's annoying wife. Requesting everyone to watch this now else it will be added to the underrated list after some days.

Nail polish is a story of a social activist Veer Singh(Manav Kaul) who is accused of raping and mudering two migrant children and is a prime suspect of the murder of other childrens. Sid Jaisingh(Arjun Rampal) fights his case and Amit Kumar(Anand Tiwari) is the civil prosecutor.
Directed by Bugs Bhargava, Nailpolish keeps you hooked throughout with the right ammount of suspense and a really well executed court room scenes. What I loved here, no over the top courtroom dialouges and loudness and dialouges were subtle and logical.
Arjun Rampal as the lawyer looks stunnigly good and Manav Kaul delivers a memorable performance. Anand Tiwari as a prosecutor looks very convincing.
For me Nail Polish is a well acted, directed and smartly written psychological thriller. At least way better than the OTT movies releasing now a days.

Attempt was good but they kind of lost the plot. This is the kind of movie made years ago. Could have worked better on the plot. Developed the charecters. Like why is madhoo an alcoholic is not explained. Little more research into the subject would have strengthened the story line.
Actors did a good job. Manav kaul was outstanding. Perhaps a series would have been better than a movie. More depth to the story line.
Can be watched once. Dont get your hopes high though

I like court room dramas very much. This movie is based on guilty or not guilty type drama. I really enjoyed it. They should have extend the climax 10 mins more to reveal the truth. Anyways this movie is far better than expected. I watched this movie without expectations and it surprised me. Go for it.
My Rating : 8/10
I love a good thriller and 'Nail Polish' does a stellar job in being one! The story is nothing new however the delivery is engaging and the twists are executed brilliantly.
No spoilers to give - just watch it and enjoy the wonderful acting from everyone - especially Manav Kaul who fits the part perfectly.
Great to see a decent thriller after a run of mediocre ones! More of this please.

Veer Singh (Maanav Kaul) is a former army officer who worked as a spy.
Post-retirement he continues gentlemen life with a great reputation working at school with kids.
One day police arrest him with the charge of sexual assault and killing of children. Did the police get all the evidences and nail Veer Singh?
The plot of the Nail Polish revolves around drama in the courtroom over the verdict.
Overall, Nail Polish manages to engage despite its predictable story due to casting and writing.
The slick and crisp narration is an added advantage. Give it a try if you love courtroom dramas with a thriller element.

First of all its a one man show! Manav Kaul, he just nailed it. But why the title is Nail Polish? Nowhere the title could be justified by its story. Even the word "Nail Polish" has been used only 2 or 3 times in entire story telling. Secondly, the movie is tagged as a thriller in the synopsis given by Zee5. But there is nothing evidentiary, no big turn & twists in the whole content which could form a proper suspense thriller, rather it is more of a courtroom drama with a touch of psychological angle. Everything was clear on the word go in the entire story of the movie, so the kind climax is there a bit expected, nothing like that which could make you think twice like a piece of #Asur or #TheRaikaarCase or #TheFamiluMan. But the story is so engaging and compact for its words of mouth that would be keeping you inclined in each frame. The screenplay was good till the climax but before the just before that, it lost its grip and link what the story builds up till then, and it looked like the climax has been appeared certainly. It will create many confusion throughout the entire story, it can arise many questions in your mind for the characters but everything has gone unanswered. You can't figure out the explanation of wh words what the movie will anticipate by its storyline. But yes, off course, the judgment what would be delivered at the edge of the end, it will make one think about our judiciary system. It will urge you to think whether the judgment is right?
This is completely one man show and that is Manav Kaul. He is the Hero of the movie, at the same time Heroine and villain also. He would just arrive, perform, win our hearts by his enthralling acting. On the note of acting, others have also done a quiet appreciable job.
It's a good attempt at a psychological but goes to places a bit more 'unrealistic'. I understand that some of scenario presented in the court case do play a part in a trail but this movie took it to a much more unrealistic level. Overall, a good watch but nothing for me to recommend it to everyone else.

Nail Polish, the 2021 psychological courtroom drama directed by Bugs Bhargava Krishna, is a thought-provoking exploration of the complexities of human nature and the pitfalls of the legal system. Starring Arjun Rampal, Anand Tiwari, and Manav Kaul, the film delves into the murky depths of a high-profile murder case, challenging the audience's perceptions and biases at every turn.
The film's strength lies in its unflinching examination of the moral ambiguities that often arise in high-stakes legal battles. Rampal's portrayal of Sid Jaisingh, a charismatic and enigmatic murder suspect, is a tour de force. His performance captivates the audience, leaving them questioning their initial judgments as the narrative unfolds. Tiwari's portrayal of the driven and principled public prosecutor, Siddhant Sikand, provides a compelling counterpoint, highlighting the inherent tensions between the pursuit of justice and the desire for personal vindication.
Krishna's direction is deft, weaving together multiple narratives and perspectives with a deft touch. The courtroom scenes crackle with intensity, as the attorneys engage in verbal jousts, each seeking to gain the upper hand. The film's pacing is deliberate, allowing the characters and their motivations to unfold organically, while also maintaining a sense of tension that keeps the audience engaged.
However, the film is not without its flaws. At times, the dialogue veers into melodrama, undermining the otherwise nuanced character development. Additionally, some plot threads are left dangling, leaving the audience with more questions than answers.
It may not be a perfect cinematic experience, but it tackles complex themes with a refreshing candor and depth that sets it apart from many of its contemporaries. For those seeking a film that challenges their assumptions and leaves them grappling with moral dilemmas long after the credits roll, Nail Polish is a must-watch.

Quite a good watch. Must try
The story is quite straight forward BUT the route it takes is quite twisted in its own way. You'll love the film if you liked watching "The Green Mile". I frankly got similar vibes watching both the movies.
