For all ages

I just grow up watching Professor Balthazar and still find it actual. He finds always a fascinating way of solving problems and his straight is exactly in this. He has no enemies to fight, just people to help. Very meaningful nowadays. We have a lot to learn from him.

#5. RA and Professor BALTHAZAR

A very pure-at-heart show, overflowing with imagination!

Watching it again in my fifties, I couldn't help to wonder if this show didn't influence Genndy Tartakovsky in creating the absolutely brilliant Dexter's Lab? Love the concept of Professor Balthazar being the granddad of Dexter.

A wonderful show

Professor Balthazar is one of the best animated shows to come out of eastern Europe. With imaginative stories, fluid animation and colourful 1960s aesthetics it's a sandwich of retro Zagrebfilm goodness. You don't even have to speak Croatian to understand the plots since most of the storytelling is visual. The show is episodic and every episode follows a simple yet effective formula; the world of Professor Balthazar is filled with many strange characters with many strange problems. But the kind professor always here to help. After a bit of thinking he always figures out a solution. His science might seem more like magic, you never know what to expect, so give this show a try and you will be in for many wonderful surprises.
