"The Absent" was the third film that Sage Bannick and Ari Bernstein produced using the Kirkwood Twins Bryan and Denny.
Director Sage Bannick was first introduced to Producer Chris Sivertson at the premiere of Bubba Ho-Tep (2002). They ate dinner with Bruce Campbell and Scott Spiegel.
The Kirkwood Twins, Lorna Paul and Sage Bannick all went to The University of Washington together.
Samuel Ball was arrested while filming "The Absent," for impersonating an officer.
