Don't watch with high expectations.

I just watched the movie, I think it was a sweet movie with the theme of summer vacation for high school young people, with lots of parties, sea sun fun. Don't watch it with great expectations, it's a stagnant movie. It's not boring, but there is no action, event etc. Watch without expectation.

Ozan Acil Rules

2021 model Ozan Aciktan movie. 'Aciktan' succeeded in accomplishing important works of his own at a younger age. Now, when I watch a movie, I know from the colors, camera usage, song selection that it is an Acikkan production. "Last Summer" is a good summer/teen movie.

Pleasently Done

Story with its own pace.

Locations were real good but except the leads, the supporting actors weren't really of that same impact. There's nothing that stood out but seems nothing needed to.

Executed Pleasently.

Worth my leisure time during holiday

I am new to Turkish shows. I rated this 6/10 because I enjoyed watching it through the end. It was 7 at first but the ending felt "soulless", it need more life to reach proper ending. In terms of music/soundtracks, marvelous, I saved 3 songs from their ost into my playlist. In terms of acting, the main actors played their role suitably. I love Halit's acting skill (in the first place, I watched this movie because Halit is in it, I knew Halit from Kardeslerim so Im a big fan of him). The other two actor Asli and Deniz also good, considering Deniz is actually 16 y/o when filming this. The storyline arent that hard to digest, its a typical slice of life story that you should watch in the summer. Love the 90s setting.

This movie is for you if you are okay with a warm and light slice of life story.

Good vibes

Good vibes, great scenes and great atmosphere in the summer of 1997 in Bodrum Turkiye. Conversations, actors and so on were amazing. However, I felt that there was nothing going on in the film. You don't get bored easily when you watch the film. You always expect something to happen, but my expectations ended in disappointment. All in all, it's not a bad film. If you have trouble finding a film to watch. Don't think too much, choose "Gecen yaz" and enjoy! Still worth to give it a try. If you do have some expectations, kill then and watch with some snacks and soda. Have a great time ahead. Cheers!

So real, so genuine, so honest

Definitely the best Netflix Turkey production so far. All leads act so real that we get all the emotions they have. Nothing stands out as fake or acting. Reminded me of my old summers, and it is just surprising to see my old memories in a movie.

Chapeau to how we can follow Deniz's quick looks from his eyes, so that we also take a peep when he is doing it. This is such a bald decision from the director, because it is not something nice but increases our empathy with Deniz significantly. You can see these kind of small details throughout the movie, which makes it so genuine.

Overall, one of the best summer movies I've watched so far, and I really watched a lot of them. Great work.

An empty hour with regret

Such an ordinary story and weak acting... The heading character really disturbed me because of his gestures. Dont lost your time in vain.

Warm heartbreak

A Turkish teen drama-romantic movie, not a romantic comedy It is about a boy and his family who arrive on vacation in a village where they are known and the protagonist quickly meets again with the girl he likes, but far from being a love story because of the chemistry they have, it becomes a suffering.

If you ever fell in love with a friend or someone in your circle and did not know how to tell them while they fell in love with someone else, this movie is perfect for you.

Quality.

Entertaining if you get hooked on the story, otherwise it will seem boring and slow.

The performances are good and the protagonists have good chemistry.

It shows in a wonderful way first love, sexual awakening, and flirting with someone and having your heart broken.

He dares to touch the limits of what someone is willing to do for love.

It shows that summer loves are not always what you think and it is not a love story.

Like any good Turkish movie, it has something that touches your heart with characters that are very familiar.

They handle everyday life wonderfully.

With a touch of the beach if you want to remember those loves that did not come true.

funny

It was a nice and pleasant movie, the cinematography and locations were great, but the beginning and supporting actors were very bad. Although it has a classic story, it was well-executed. The performance of fatih berk, ece cesmioglu and halit free yellow was one of the parts that made the movie beautiful. Hope to see the director and actors in better works.
