Very very very good

Great Hyrule Warriors game and extremely fun. The time travel plot doesn't really make it a prequal to Botw but the story is still very good none the less. I barely experienced any frame drops only tiny ones in a few parts but I expected this game to be very laggy, which it was not.

Good, but it pulls it's punches

I thought BOTW was great. It had a lot of subtlety in the characterizations. It didn't shy away letting things be sad. AOC feels like they underestimate their audience and not giving them a happily ever after. It felt like fan fiction in that way.

Beyond that the characterization really suffers because many times something meaningful could happen someone interrupts with a joke or something. It interrupts and doesn't let some of the main characters interact in a meaningful way.

This is only the second Zelda with speaking cutscenes and it's becoming really obvious that Link just needs to be able to talk, or at least emote more.

Gameplay was way fun though!
