The Black Death: The World's Most Devastating Plague

A very nice intro to the Middle Ages for junior high school up. Lecturer is clear and seeks to present the Overall context of society which contained the plague. For the beginner.

I had to stop when the lecturer made the statement that most of Europe in the 13th century was "Christian". It was Catholic. She then describes going to Mass and priests ect. While Catholics and Christians are similar, they are absolutely different in many ways. Lumping the two together shows considerable ignorance for such a "learned person". Makes you wonder what else she got wrong.

This lecturer knows what she's talking about. Contrary to what commenter Frank Black says, all Catholics are actually Christians, so her statements are 100% correct.

The Great Courses series are always top notch. They are performed by college professors who have studied their topic in depth so you can trust the information. They don't politicize their topics or attempt to rewrite history. In today's world this is critical because so much is published or produced with fake facts and details. Not so in anything produced by this company. The Black Death series is very well done and the prof is top notch. I don't want to give away details so I'll just say this series is definitely well worth watching and the professor is eloquent and captivating. She really knows her topic and I promise you will learn something new.
