With filming of The Boys season 5 wrapped, focus is now on the next spinoff series in the works. It’s all about Vought Rising.
Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will lead The Boys prequel series, bringing Soldier Boy and Stormfront back into the mix. As we know, both of these characters were around in the 1940s and 1950s, allowing for a prequel series about the growth of Vought International.
Like The Boys and its spinoff Gen V, the show needs more than two actors to run the series. Now that Vought Rising production is getting ready to start, we get to hear of more joining the cast.

Est N8, the international sales, production, and finance company, has acquired “Family Secrets,” a Korean family drama directed by Lee Sang-hoon (“Windmill”), at Hong Kong FilMart.
The film tells the story of an average Korean family whose members begin leading secret lives unknown to each other. The eldest daughter Mina, for instance, skips her piano lessons to take self-defense classes. The narrative reveals these new pursuits are connected to promises made to their deceased family member Seung-hyun, who perished in the tragic Sewol ferry incident.
“Family Secrets” takes a distinctive approach to the Sewol Ferry disaster, focusing on hope rather than sorrow. “The Sewol ferry victims’ families try not to talk about the Sewol ferry disaster, but rather to talk about the good and happy stories,” director Lee Sang-hoon said. “Since they know how much pain they each are feeling, they comfort and encourage each other with hopeful communication during...

Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann filmed a behind-the-scenes look during their wedding day.
The couple opted to capture special moments while they got ready to walk down the aisle.
Followers watched as Jana had her hair and makeup done, the bridesmaids got ready, and the first look was featured.
The Counting On star gave several “confessionals” in which she discussed her nerves and worries about her wedding dress. However, things appeared to work out perfectly in the end.
Interestingly, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar were heavily featured in the first portion of Jana’s wedding day.
Jim Bob received more camera time and discussion than Michelle, which should surprise no one.

Joy-Anna Duggar said a lot without saying much at all.
Her recent appearance alongside her husband, Austin Forsyth, on the Unplanned Podcast revealed her thoughts on Jill Duggar.
She was Jill’s first buddy on her buddy team, and when she moved out to begin her life with Derick Dillard, Joy likely had to step up and take care of the other two siblings on the team.
There had been speculation for quite some time that things between Jill and Joy weren’t great. Still, after hearing the latter talk about her family “falling apart” on the podcast and the timing of it all, it was clear she was discussing Jill’s book release and her participation in Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.

There are a few things to remember about the first half of Blue Bloods' final season as the series heads toward its conclusion. Although CBS cancelled Blue Bloods last year, the long-running drama about a multi-generational family of cops' final season was split into two parts, with the first 10 episodes airing in the spring of 2024. Blue Bloods has eight episodes left before it leaves the airwaves permanently, though there may be a spin-off in the works.
Blue Bloods does not have very many continuing storylines. Most episodes are self-contained, although there are sometimes longer character arcs, such as Jamie's battle with Frank over whether Jamie should become a sergeant in seasons 6 and 7 or Erin's bid to become the next Manhattan Da in season 13. Some of Blue Bloods' best characters have storylines that must be wrapped up before the series ends; it is important to remember where these stories left off...

Through nine lengthy episodes, Murphy unpacks the Menendez family history and what may have truly driven these brothers to such a violent act. We relive their privileged yet troubled upbringing, with Javier Bardem unnervingly perfect as the tyrannical father figure.

Kody Brown created Sister Wives over a decade ago, but little did he know the can of worms this TLC series would open for the future. Sure, he sold his spouses on the idea. But, many of his adult kids use this fame today to rake in the bucks. Some might say he taught them well.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Offers More Drama
Kody Brown declared he was on a mission when he first graced the TV screen with Sister Wives. He wanted the world to see his polygamous family as normal as any monogamous family. Well, as normal as you can get while having three wives, with the fourth waiting in the wings.
Curiosity brought the viewers. And, for the first several seasons, fans seemed amazed at the love they witnessed on the screen. But then, with the curiosity waning, Kody and his family life seemed to grow stale with the fans.

Anna Duggar hasn’t been seen in recent months, seemingly disappearing from the spotlight and family events altogether.
When Josh Duggar was convicted on Csam (Child Sexual Abuse Material) charges and subsequently sentenced, Anna was at the courthouse every single day.
After he was transferred to Fci Seagoville in Texas, Anna would occasionally pop up in Duggar family event vlogs, especially the Christmas ones.
However, she seemingly disappeared and hasn’t been spotted with the family in months. Even her children seemed to have been removed from the spotlight.
However, Anna is still heavily ingrained in the Institute in Basic Life Principles and spent the week in Big Sandy, Texas, for the family conference.
She was posing with a few women from the conference and looked less like herself.

Brazilian media giant Globo has sold the first international adaptation rights to its biggest telenovela hit in recent years, “Brazil Avenue” (“Avenida Brasil”) to Ay Yapım, one of the most prominent daily series producers of Turkey.
Madd Entertainment, a joint venture of Medyapim (“Mother”) and Ay Yapim (“Endless Love”), will distribute the adaptation worldwide.
The unprecedented agreement allows for Ay Yapım to make some changes as long as it adheres to the telenovela’s main storylines. Globo Studios will be on hand as a consultant.
The International Emmy-nominated soap has already been sold to more than 140 territories so a Turkish adaptation would further expand its reach.
“We are betting on selling formats to bring our productions to new audiences and in different ways. And this agreement with Ay Yapım reflects that, showing the market that we are open to a variety of business models,” said Globo’s head of international business and co-productions,...

Highly respected veteran British film critic Derek Malcolm died of heart and lung failure at his home in Deal, south-eastern England, his wife Sarah Gristwood announced on Sunday.
Malcolm served as the chief movie critic for The Guardian newspaper for more than 25 years, and was a familiar face at film festivals around the world throughout that time.
Before he settled down at the movies, he tried his hand at being a National Hunt jockey and then working as an actor. He joined The Guardian in the early 1970s and stayed there as its chief movie critic until 1999, moving to the London Evening Standard paper in the same role.
He also published a personal memoir in 2003, ‘Family Secrets,’ in which he recounted his dysfuctional family background, including the fact that his father shot dead his mother’s lover, an incident for which he was acquitted, and Malcolm’s parents stayed together afterwards.

Anna Duggar has kept quiet following the release of Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, but she can thank her father for the latest string of criticism surrounding the family. The 19 Kids and Counting alum joined the Duggar unit when she married disgraced son Josh Duggar. Josh molested multiple girls in the past, including his siblings, and is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence on child pornography charges. Despite his long history of criminal behavior, Anna refuses to consider divorcing him.
Anna’s father, Mike Keller, isn’t so great either, as a video recently surfaced of him spewing racist ideologies, referring to enslavers as “good people on the plantations.” 19 Kids and Counting’s Anna Duggar may not have caused a storm of social media backlash, but her father certainly has. Following a video of him somehow comparing Black Americans and slavery to the January 6 Capitol attack, many have laid...

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken brings a new kind of monster into the DreamWorks universe. The unique spin on popular mythology portrays krakens as anything but the hungry ship-eaters they are understood to be, with the titular Ruby Gillman and her family simply doing their best to live some semblance of a normal life on land. The film joyfully subverts expectations and, in true DreamWorks fashion, boasts enough heart and humor to be enjoyable for the whole family.
The film aims to blend sweeping mythological concepts with the reality of being a teenager, and smoothly accomplishes its goal with the help of music by Grammy-winning composer Stephanie Economou. Economou is known for work on a range of projects including Jupiter’s Legacy and Manhunt, but thanks to a long history of collaboration with composer Harry Gregson-Williams has also worked on beloved films like The Martian and the live-action Mulan. Following the booming success of Korean content in recent years, other countries have been hoping to achieve a similar level of international acclaim for their local content. One market that we’ve been monitoring closely as an origin for globally popular content has been Turkey. We have previously highlighted the regional spike in demand for Turkish content in Latin America. Here we take a look at how demand for Turkish series has been growing in the U.S. and consider whether this is the beginning of a new trend for international content.
As of June 6, total U.S. demand for Turkish series was 24% higher than it was a year ago, according to Parrot Analytics‘ data, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement. There was a large rise in demand for these shows in the second half of 2022. Although Turkish content still accounts for...

Josh Duggar had an epic fall from grace, and in the new documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, it was revealed that his parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar played a big role in his downfall. Jim Bob and Michelle were praised for their religious values and conservative viewpoint on parenting. They painted a picture of what an ideal life with 19 children could look like through their faith and Biblical principles.
It was important for Jim Bob and Michelle to share their lifestyle, parenting, and religious beliefs on television. Geneva-based TV ratings analysis company The Wit has presented at MipCancun what it deems to be the current and potential buzz titles in Latin America.
Speaking to Variety, The Wit’s managing director Caroline Servy identified at least three trending themes: Empowered women, socially conscious stories and edgy elevated fiction, predominantly made by streamers, that “cuts through the clutter.”
Also ruling the field are bio-series with the latest led by “Maradona: Blessed Dream,” which broke recent records on Argentina’s Canal 9 before bowing worldwide on Amazon Prime on October 29.
Turkish series are wildly popular in the region but not as widely distributed by the major broadcasters in Brazil and Mexico, which are prodigious telenovela producers themselves, Servy noted. Expectations are high for Turkey’s number one show “Yargi” (“Family Secrets”), distributed by Madd Entertainment, which pits a defense lawyer against a prosecutor in a murder case involving their respective families.
