This just might be my favourite game ever made

This game is amazing. From the visuals the the sound design and the music it is all just amazing. From the moment you start the game it entices you and it's hard to stop playing. The atmosphere is amazing and the horror is the best I have ever played. And the ending is insane. I was literally in awe at it. Anyone who is reading this you should go play the game. You won't regret it. The more people who buy the game the more it will encourage them to make a third one and then maybe make it into something bigger like the Resident Evil series. Thank you Tarsier and Bandai Namco for creating this masterpiece.

Waited so long for this

I loved everything and the ending left me speechless. There were a few rough moments but they were always immediately redeemed by amazing moments afterwards. I loved it and it's great for people who like horror and terror games. The game just flows better and makes you enjoy it regardless of how terrified you are in places. You just want to get to the next room to see what happens. You should play the original Little Nightmares first though if you're coming in to this blind. The first game (and its DLC) is fantastic. Super creepy and dripping with atmosphere. You really are missing out if you skip the first one.

A Prequel Success

The first game was great, the second even better. Every second of gameplay is like a gift unwrapping, you don't know what to expect but you know it's going to be amazing, and guess what, it was. A mentally terrifyingly pleasant experience all the way to the end. The fact six is back makes everything that much more better. I also highly recommend this game to anyone who is a horror fan & definitely recommend playing the first one before this one if you have not. Thank you Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco for creating the world of little nightmares

Little Nightmares II: Danger in the Pale City

Little Nightmares II (2021) returns with an epic, beautifully twisted tale, one which compares perfectly with the first game, in my opinion, which in itself is a rare feat. Few sequels/prequels can compare with their masterpiece originals. As a huge fan of the first game, I was very easily swept up in the dark lure of this game, curious to find the connections and understand a bit more of the world and lore. These games are somehow both exquisite and grotesque, a perfect mix of stunningly beautiful and monstrously disgusting.

This installment is more of a prequel story to the first game, but it definitely keeps with the unique style previously established and the devs manage to crank up the story a couple of notches with surprising results. Absolutely love where they are going with this. The ending was a incredible trip, so unlike anything most of us could have expected. Brilliant and compelling. I can't wait to see where the next installments will take us.

The story focuses on Mono, a unique masked boy, with mysterious abilities and a mysterious, yet familiar ally. The world, characters, music, and art design are all spell-binding and spot on. These games are amazingly clever at offering a fascinating and terrifying story as well as compelling characters through its art, world, and overall atmospheric experience. It somehow manages to express emotion with a wordless subtlety, as the characters never speak or share dialogue. Somehow the world of Little Nightmares is rich, moving and eerily horrific and highly addictive. I have such high hopes for LN3!

STORY: 10/10 GAMEPLAY: 10/10 GRAPHICS: 10/10 ART DESIGN: 10/10 MUSIC: 10/10 OVERALL RATING: 10.

Never-ending nightmare.

'Little Nightmares II (2020)' is an atmospheric and enigmatic puzzle-platformer that's as creepy as it is enjoyable. Because of certain aspects of its story which I won't spoil here, the game can easily be played without having played its predecessor (which is how I experienced it). Its story is surprisingly compelling considering that there isn't a single line of dialogue. It's simple but effective. The piece conveys its ambiguous narrative without holding your hand, which actually makes for a very satisfying experience. Its ending is fantastically frustrating and downbeat; it's actually the perfect note on which to end. The gameplay consists of puzzles, traversal challenges and stealth segments, usually all at the same time. It's more-or-less a side-scroller, even though you can move away from and closer to the screen, as it were. It feels surprisingly fluid, though the controls are ever-so-slightly clunky and you can get stuck on geometry quite easily. The title just drops you right into its events and forces you to fend for yourself, only occasionally interrupting with a tutorial message when an obscure new mechanic comes into play. The experience never feels frustrating, though, because it saves very frequently. It's a little annoying how much trial and error is involved, especially when the thing throws something at you that you couldn't possibly predict, but this doesn't detract from the overall experience as you immediately respawn not too far from where you met your demise. The game has several collectibles (one type of which leads to an extended 'secret' ending) that are incredibly well hidden. In fact, they're a little too well hidden at times. Still, it's entertaining to try and find them all. They add a bit more value to the relatively short story, although I still managed to finish the entire thing to 100% in around five-and-a-half hours. The length isn't an issue, at least for me, because the affair is so entertaining. Its aesthetics are spot on, with several disquieting enemies and a generally gloomy vibe, and its gameplay is really engaging, especially during its more exciting segments. The story, too, is unexpectedly affecting; you'll really care about your player character and his mysterious new friend by the time you reach the thing's conclusion. In the end, this is a distinct and well-achieved little title. It's great. I'll be playing the first game very soon. 8/10.

An Incredible, Engaging Adventure

Little Nightmares 2 delivers a great atmospheric gaming environment filled with spooky ambience and thrilling environments. Much like the first instalment, this game delivers a cold and unforgiving environment. And underneath the surface of the gothic art style, there is a layer of mysterious backstory.

The story is a simple tale of a young boy named Mono, accompanied by Six (the first game's protagonist) trying to survive the brutal world they live in and find a safe place.

The gameplay is still quite clunky in places, especially with the pretty clumsy combat feature. However the physical limitations of the game and your characters only make you feel more vulnerable and in danger within the world. So in a sense it ads to the experience when you know surviving is harder.

The new environments are just as creepy as ever with 6 unique locations in the game. Each monster has a pretty spooky, creative design and fits the mood of the game. And the sheer size and scope is a step up from the first game.

The music is on par with the first soundtrack. It's haunting yet beautiful. Simple and effective. Best of all it compliments the game, adding mystique and builds the story with atmosphere. The simplicity in the music brings a child like sense of wonder that accompanies the characters through the story. And then some tracks just fill your heart with dread. Some songs just make the adrenaline flow in the more dire points of the game.

Not only is the game beautiful, it's also incredibly fun. Containing many hidden collectables, humorous achievement trophies, and some callbacks to the previous game. The game never feels stale and offers us a lot in a short amount of time. Each level progresses brilliantly.

Some of the downsides are the games short length and again the stiff controls at points. With a game as captivating as LN2, it's easy to indulge in the experience. But with the game's run time only between 5-6 hours, the time it can seem a bit brief. Less is indeed more but for me 5 hours isn't long enough. I think it could of had another level. But it's better to have 5 great chapters rather than anything that can be perceived as filler. In this case the game leaves us wanting more rather than waiting for it to end. The game is also very replay-able if not for the fun trophies and the cool hat collection.

Some further minor upgrades from the first Little Nightmares are the better checkpoint loading, nicer camera work, more challenging gameplay and fewer AI issues. So overall the experience is a lot more polished.

I love this game a lot. I've played to 100% completion but still want to play it some more so it's definitely worth an extra play through.

Top 10 Definitely best games

This game was incredible. It was tense from the beginning we saw the protagonist to the end we saw the antagonist. The background environment and the visuals were breathtaking. The character designs were phenomenal. The story was gripping, dark and twisted. All the traits a perfect horror game can have. And the ending was just....wow. It was unexpected and I won't ever see that ending coming from another lifetime.

The title just says it all

The games art design and atmosphere are awesome. BUT the gameplay is extremely frustrating. The controles are as frightening as the game itself. Doing anything in the game is just a little nightmare. It redefines trial & error completely. For people with really strong nerves. I tried to like it but had to quit half way through because I was so frustrated. Never happened before with any game...

The Secret Achievements are so Creative

Little nightmares 2 is everything the first game does but better, From it's beautiful scenery to it's incredible story telling. While the first little nightmares takes place in one environment which is the maw, Little Nightmares 2 this takes place in various of areas. The hat collectibles and finding all the Glitching kids was such a cool idea, it made exploring all the more worth it. the secret achievements you need to get are so creative. I feel this game is shorter than the previous and the ending is awesome. it truly is the best game. All in all this game is a masterpiece.

One of the greatest horror game ever made

One of the best horror game of all time. My personal No.1 thou. The story, the music, the environment, the feelings, everything just so perfect. This game leaves you with so many questions when you end it. This game gets you like you have experienced something in real life not just in game because it will get you emotionally and psychologically. And it's all because of it's deep story, it's emotional soundtracks, and it's wonderful environment. Also as for being a part 2 to Little Nightmares 1, it's just perfect. Everything just fits as it should be. The people who have played Little Nightmares 1 before playing Little Nightmares 2 have the complete experience and waiting for Little Nightmares 3 as well. I feel lucky to play this game because you know it's very hard to find 10/10 games.

Nightmares Return Creepier As Ever

I honestly cannot pick which is better, the first or the second. They're both creepy and they're both very unpredictable. But you know what, that's what makes both these games so unique. Little Nightmares II takes the 3D indie horror gaming to a whole new level. I might as well begin with how unpredictable the story can be. This time, we got Mono and Six teaming up and have to face the scary monsters in town. And that exactly takes a step of the social commentary on sad reality. The graphics are not only creepier as ever, but also very exciting in terms of the detail when it comes to the background. And the gameplay is very challenging in a great way. It demonstrates how the game really wants to play around with all the monsters we would encounter by either being chased or even fight back. If you like the first Little Nightmares, you will definitely enjoy this one too. But I also recommend to prepare on what you will expect when playing this game. Like the first game, it will be creepy and play out its horror themes. Seeing how the games get progressively scarier and creepy, this tells me that the next installment is going to be even creeper when that comes out next year.

Just so slow

Loved the first one, really enjoyed it as i had not ever played a game like that before.

This one is soooo slow, it isn't the puzzles I found frustrating,I enjoyed them. It is the game controls.

Slow to react, I spent more time trying to get the characters to do what I wanted than on the puzzles. Shame as it has just come on gamepass I was I was really excited.

I am about half way through but I've got bored so I will stop now.

And being this disappointed I thought I would write my review Such a shame.

Looking forward to the third one. I'm hoping they will have sorted the flaws with this one.

Oh well my opinion..
