Created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, Hulu is suiting up for one of its quirkiest sports comedies, Chad Powers, with a talented cast of actors, which includes Powell, Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, and others. The show is based on Eli Manning’s viral 2022 Chad Powers sketch and follows disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday (Glen Powell), who tries to reboot his career by disguising himself as the hilariously fake-but-deadly serious Chad Powers.
Directed by Tony Yacenda with Eli and Peyton Manning as producers, Chad Powers will premiere on September 30, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping on Hulu the same day, followed by weekly releases.

Four years ago, Peacock unveiled one of the best true crime docuseries in recent memory when the streamer dropped John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise. Instead of focusing on the titular killer (as so many projects often do), the six-episode miniseries largely allowed the victims and their loved ones to come forward and tell their story. Now, the platform is set to do it all over again, but this time with a dramatized retelling of the atrocious horrors committed by the man also known as Pogo the Clown. Today, Peacock is unveiling the official trailer for Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, which sees Severance and Orange is the New Blackstar,...

Months after the meme coin debacle that sent Hailey Welch into internet exile, the Hawk Tuah girl is back in the spotlight, and appears to be rubbing elbows with Hollywood superstar Glen Powell for his new Hulu series, Chad Powers. Welch rose to prominence last year thanks to a video interview that went viral, and she quickly capitalized on her fame by selling merchandise, appearing in public with a ton of celebrities, and starting her own podcast, Talk Tuah. Last December she was accused of performing a pump-and-dump scheme which saw her release a cryptocurrency meme coin that got as high as $500 million before it quickly fell in value, causing many to accuse her of insider trading.

Not all TV shows have to cross the multiple-season threshold to have a meaningful impact. Some of the best narratives showcase what exactly they can do in a limited series format, knowing that dragging out its premise beyond a single season will hurt the overall story. Even with a smaller pool of episodes, there's still the opportunity to have one in the lineup that just doesn't hit the mark.
These limited series make the most use of each episode, contributing to a larger, cohesive narrative that captivates viewers throughout. Not a single episode feels out of place and consistently delivers gripping storytelling and careful pacing, ensuring that these shows cement themselves in the audience's memory despite their brevity.

Exclusive: Colin Bates (Queer) and Ella Kennedy Davis (Your Friends and Neighbors) will topline These Little Ones Perish, an indie drama from director Alex Noyer (Sound of Violence), which has wrapped production in New York.
For Noyer, the circumstances surrounding the shoot were extraordinary, as he went to set just one week after losing his home in the devastating Palisades fire that destroyed over 6,000 structures. Hailing from Genco Pictures and You Know Films, the project is an adaptation of the play by Patrick Hamilton, who penned the script.
The story begins after a young altar boy’s tragic death by suicide in a local church. Father Frye (Bates) discovers the body, only to face resistance from the church hierarchy, the local police and the surrounding community. His investigation is driven by the grief and distrust of the boy’s older sister, Siobhan (Davis), as well as the church’s apparent urgency to bury the truth.

Hulu has enjoyed tremendous success with limited series based on true events, particularly the buzzworthy Candy. 2019's The Act, starring Patricia Arquette and Joey King, which followed the Gypsy Rose Blanchard story, and 2022's The Girl from Plainville, starring Elle Fanning as Michelle Carter, were both major hits for the streaming service. Hulu's 2022 limited series Candy, created by Robin Veith and Nick Antosca, might be their crowning achievement, as not only did it receive high ratings, but it also garnered acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
Candy stars Jessica Biel as Candy Montgomery, a Texas woman who killed her good friend Betty Gore with an axe after Betty confronted her about an affair with her husband, Allan Gore. The limited series explores Candy's life in the years leading up to the murder and the shocking trial that followed. It's a riveting exploration of rage and trauma, featuring a career-defining role from Biel.

Director Erin Lee Carr hates to use the term “brand” but that’s exactly what she’s cultivated when it comes to bizarre true crime stories. “People are like, ‘This horrible thing happened. Let’s call Erin Lee Carr,'” the documentarian told TheWrap.
It’s not surprising to see how Carr developed this reputation. She was behind HBO’s Gypsy Rose Blanchard documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest” and “I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter,” both of which went on to inspire the Hulu scripted series “The Act” and “The Girl From Plainville,” respectively. In 2021, Carr released Netflix’s “Britney vs Spears,” the same year the pop icon’s conservatorship was terminated. She’s also produced a Peacock documentary on Stormy Daniels, a Hulu docuseries on the Sherri Papini kidnapping hoax and an HBO documentary on journalist Kim Wall, who went missing after boarding Danish entrepreneur Peter Madsen’s submarine.

Sony Pictures upcoming Until Dawn movie has received a major production update from director David F. Sandberg regarding the current status of the live-action feature film adaptation. Sandberg is no stranger to the horror genre, after previously helming 2016s Lights Out and 2017s Annabelle: Creation.
On Instagram, Sandberg confirmed that production on the Until Dawn movie has officially been completed, after nearly two months of filming. To mark the movies production wrap, the filmmaker also shared a new behind-the-scenes photo, featuring a clapboard in front of a very bloody mirror. The project serves as Sandbergs return to horror, after directing back-to-back Shazam! movies for the past four years. Unlike the first installment, last years Shazam! Fury of the Gods sequel received mixed critical reviews, and was also considered a box-office failure after earning a worldwide gross of only $134 million against a reported budget of $110-125 million.

In its first week of availability on Hulu, “Perfect Wife: The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini” reached 3.6 million views.
This marks the most-watched Hulu docuseries ever, according to the streamer, which calculates views by dividing the total amount of time a project is watched by its runtime.

Devil in Disguise: Michael Chernus to play notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy in Peacock series
We’ve got yet another serial killer drama on the way as Michael Chernus (Severance) is set to play John Wayne Gacy in a limited drama series for Peacock.
Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy will chronicle “the harrowing crimes of one of America’s most notorious serial killers and the investigation that ultimately brought him down.” Over the course of six years, Gacy kidnapped and murdered 33 young men, burying many of them in the crawl space beneath his home. On the outside, Gacy didn’t seem to fit the mould of a twisted killer; he was active in his community, hosted annual summer parties, and even volunteered to entertain sick children dressed as a clown.
“I’m both excited and humbled by this opportunity,” Chernus said in a statement. “The direction that the writers are taking with this project is important, focusing on the victims and their families as...
