I never watch reality tv shows because I think they're usually a bit of a waste of time, but I like dogs and wanted a feel-good show in quarantine. The contestants are fun characters and adorable dogs from all over the U.S. The camera angles, music, interviews, and slow-mo shots are over the top and and dramatized in a way that I can see turn people off. But I've enjoyed that part and think it's hilarious! They go all over the world and it's so touching to see these people and their relationships with their dogs!
This show took a few episodes to grow on me. All the contestants treated their dogs so well and everyone was a good sport. I very much enjoyed watching.
My husband and I enjoyed this show. The dogs were cute and fun to watch. The owners really loved their dogs and to see a great trusting bond with them. Yes some of the competition was silly and the editing was annoying at times.
But it is an easy show to watch, the best reality show really, no drama. Even if someone of their "pack" let them down, the other teammates were still supportive.

Ok so it may not be the best reality tv show ever but honestly who cares!! They donate money to great causes, have super cute dogs, amazing locations and promote animal love and care. So in my eyes this is a 10+ rating!

Best show of the year for dog lovers. Most of us don't have super trained dogs. When I watch this show, I feel like watching a regular cute dogs competing. Super fun!
I really wanted to like this show, for the dogs and the donated money. But honestly, I couldn't get past the first episode. Owners forcing their dogs to do things when they look nervous, or even get hurt. Ex: Dogs had to dig through sand, dog started sneezing, owner pushed his face down to keep going. Some of the dogs were trained therapy dogs or similar, some of them just home pets. But I felt like all the owners treated their dogs as objects. All of them were from rich fancy backgrounds and all the dogs were purebred. Would be nice to see some mutts in there, or do the show with adoptable dogs! There was drama with all the owners, or they had sob stories.
Editing was choppy and hard to follow. So basically: Pros: Dogs, money to good cause, fast paced, challenges Cons: Bratty owners, not amazing dog treating, challenges were unfair, choppy editing. Too much drama.

Don't watch if you don't love dogs. It's fun but little silly. Only so much you can do with a owner and dog. Was a fun watch. Watch with open mind.

So much wasted potential. The unnecessary drama is obvious and feels insincere. If we wanted to watch a daily soap, that's what we'd watch instead.
Basic balance is missing. It's crushing for anyone who wants to watch a fair game to endure, right from the first episode. The entire thing feels boring, even if the challenges are good. You want to enjoy it and support it, because, DOGS! but soon you run out of excuses to justify wasting your time.

I love dogs and Dixie the Coonhound is my favourite. She's such a gorgeous and vocal dog and clearly so intelligent. All the dogs are incredible though and the best thing about the show is that it highlights the special bond between dog and owner, and nothing comes close to that feeling. I sit and watch this with my beagle. :)

I don't know why people are saying the dogs were mistreated or stressed out. Or the owners were rich. The final three were regular people trying to win to hopefully buy a home or have a decent start.
The dogs were never mistreated and at times owners wouldn't finish because they knew their dog wasn't enjoying the task. The dogs had training to help them get used to things like unbalanced surfaces, water sports etc. so they wouldn't be frightened. They were well looked after. I'd be one of the first to turn off and do whatever was in my power to get it cancelled so it wouldn't be on again.
The owners had beautiful connections with their fur babies and the love was obvious. They adored them and the dogs adored their owners.
I found it hard to pick one team for my winner as they were all such nice people with gorgeous and very charismatic dogs with great personalities.
There were young and older dogs and owners, some were mixed breeds and some purebreds.
I don't know what people mean about the drama in the show, I didn't feel there was any drama or fake drama in it. You heard their stories throughout and some had some tough times in life.
They all got along together, bonded and shared a common interest, love for their fur buddies.
It was actually nice to watch a reality show without fake fights. Even the dogs loved each other!!
If you love dogs and want to watch something that isn't full on and overly scripted give it a go.
1. Difficult to watch and keep track of what is actually happening. Editing is very fast paced, no shot lasts more than a couple of seconds, which makes watching very stressful. The competitors are going to very cool locations, but the editing has completely ruined enjoying the show.
2. When competitions are happening it is difficult to follow the competitors and root for someone, which completely takes away from the pleasure of watching any form of "challenge". I have no idea, how much time has passed, how far someone is from another competitor etc. This could be a "making-of" show of the competition, not the actual footage. In the end you just want to turn the show off, because as a viewer I have no idea what is going on from a competitive standpoint.
3. Basically because the competitive element is unwatchable, a viewer is just left with watching the personal sob stories of some completely random people.
4. The idea in itself is very cool and could be executed better with more focus on the competition with maybe a stopwatch and less with some completely irrelevant interviews from contestants.
5. Beautiful locations and background shots.
Unfortunately a waste of time, due to errors made in the focus on irrelevant things.

I pity the poor people who had to work hard filming, editing and putting this garbage together.

I loved this series! It's pure joy and pure love between man and mans best friend. No, it's not executed the best, or even edited that well but who cares. Its a show about regularly people and their regular doing awesome challenges and learning to fully trust each other. I seriously can't say enough good about The Pack

First off it's not the best show but I don't think it tries to it's just a fun show. The contestants and there stories and dogs are great. The challenges are fun. At times I was a little worried for the dogs with the challenges but they have supervision and safety procedures so I got over it. The main flaw and it's a big flaw is the Edith g was so bad I haven't seen bad editing in a major show like this in a long time. If it comes back for another season I hope they work on the problems and do better editing.

Cute show and the challenges were impressive. However, for a show all about dogs and giving back, I was disappointed to see that contestants were only "pure bred or designer breeds". It would have been a breath of fresh air to see a mix breed or two with a cute rescue story. There are a number of dogs that are mutts that need homes.

This is a sorta fun show to watch, but if you ever wonder if dogs are smarter than people, this will eliminate all doubt.

I would watch it for the dogs, but you add their rich a-hole owners and I can skip. Dogs I like. Loser owners I WILL avoid. Don't need the drama queens who think I am in awe of them. Sorry dogs...love ya but you're not worth putting up with your owners. Not watching!

Amazing, better then amazing race because you have two focal points the Dog & Owner. Dogs did as much work as their owner but it was the fact that the dogs went & did everything with owners that shows you how much of a companion they really are. The show is about building that bond, trust relationship with your dog. Not every dog is capable or has good days which the show allows for that adjustment. Hands down can not wait for season 2. All positive & smiles that you enjoy each team real people. Enjoy learning about all these landmarks show for the entire family. An adventure for all.
I can't get enough of this show. If tge ever do it again I would love to enter with my tripawd pitboxer!!!
