The uncensored version didn't receive a rating from the MPAA at first. Only a cut version that lacks approx. two minutes of footage gained the R-Rating and was shown in several cinemas whilst AMC supported the director and showed the original Uncut Version in their cinemas. For the home video market both versions were released but the R-Rated cut is a rare one only available via Redbox whereas the Unrated Uncut Version can be bought nearly everywhere.
