One of the most bearable reality tv competition show. The contestents are friendly towards each other, and the overall tone of the show is quite sober, instead of the constant reaction shots and overhyped editing. Only critique is that the episodes seem drawn out. Most edits of the sword testing go on for way too long, and are quite repetative. So the episodes can easily be 30 min instead of 45.
So all in all, great show. But has some minor flaws.
7/10: very good.

Fun show. I think I prefer it to the basic Forged in Fire; the judges seem more relaxed and casual. Their character flows out a bit better, and they all have something about them that makes them interesting and come off as friendly and warm.

Let's be honest, the judges are what make Forged in Fire what it is. They're just all around awesome, fun, and their mutual chemistry is great.
Seeing them duke it out against other bladesmiths is not only interesting but it really puts a smile on your face. You get to see their personalities in a whole different way and of course watching them do what they do best is obviously awesome in itself.
