Prime Video is one of the most widely used streaming services, offering a variety of films and television series to its consumers. Aside from featuring premieres of the platform's originals, which it is well-known for, Prime Video also has a reputation for rolling out a monthly lineup of movies, often borrowing them from third-party providers.
February 2025 has been one such month for the streamer, with a plethora of movies added to its library and offering movie buffs a seamless experience that only selected platforms strive for. In this regard, March 2025 is no exception, albeit this time, we have a few more original films that are certain to entertain viewers. There's the highly anticipated mystery drama directed by Tyler Perry, a heartwarming rom-com about life and work, and, lastly, fans will be able to see Nicole Kidman in another odd role centered on an unconventional thriller.

How old is Tyler Perry’s spitfire matron Madea? Her age isn’t specified (I’d say she’s in her mid-70s), but whatever it is she’s that many years young. She has a sneaky-dog irascibility that won’t quit. And Tyler Perry can’t quit her. He had hinted that “A Madea Family Funeral,” in 2019, might be the last Madea outing. But the pandemic changed his mind. I say that with or without it, Perry would have returned to Madea, because she’s more than his greatest hit — she’s his unleashed id, the character he’s addicted to playing because she expresses so many of his angels and demons.
Of course, she’s also an eternal crowd-pleaser. The first Tyler Perry movie, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” (which included an appearance by Madea), was released 17 years ago today. At the time, he’d already been doing Madea onstage for years.

Tyler Perry’s previous Madea movies have raked in more than $600 million at the box office. But a theatrical debut for “A Madea Homecoming,” which launches Feb. 25 on Netflix, was never part of his conversation with the company.
“I didn’t even think about it. They’re a streaming service, and I understand the importance of making content in support of that,” Perry tells Variety, noting that he released “Madea’s Farewell Play,” a filmed version of the stage show, on BET Plus when launching the streamer with ViacomCBS in 2019.
Despite skipping the megaplex this time, Perry is still a believer in the theatrical experience.
“There will be some slight changes or some erosion, but some movies and experiences are meant to be enjoyed in a room full of people on a huge screen, and not on the computer or television,” he says. “My hope is that theaters and theater chains...

Exclusive: A week after Tyler Perry’s The Oval premiered its second season on BET, the drama series has been renewed for a third.
Perry helped BET reclaim Tuesday as a night of original programming with the first-ever TV airing of his Madea’s Farewell Play and The Oval‘s Season 2 opener on February 16.
Madea’s Farewell Play drew 1.2 million total viewers (Live+3) in the simulcast across BET and BET Her. The Oval averaged 1.5 million viewers across the two networks and 1.4 million on BET alone. That was down from the record high for the Season 1 finale (3.2 million across BET and BET Her). A drop-off was expected as the network is using one of its strongest scripted series to make inroads on Tuesday.
The Oval was the No. 1 show for Black viiewers in all of television on premiere night among adults 18-49 and 25-54 and total viewers. Both The Oval and Madea...
