Funny, strange, moving, and heartfelt, a collection of 17 short films by various filmmakers was always going to be hit-and-miss. But 'Homemade' is a proof cinema continues to adapt to changing times and brings us possibilities we overlooked. Top of the class: Paolo Sorrentino, Rachel Morrison, Pablo Larraín, Sebastián Lelio, and Ana Lily Amirpour.
I enjoyed some of the series episodes and the creativity that was displayed. That being said, I only liked seven of the episodes in total.
The ones that I did like were all able to explore how Covid-19 is impacting people all over the world. This documentary series is a reminder that everyone around the world is going through this crisis. We all feel lonely, sad and yearn for past activities that are no longer. I know that I have not yet been deeply impacted by Covid-19, but there are millions, if not billions, of people around the globe who have through the loss of a family member or job.
My hope is that people can watch this series and recognize the beauty in our similarities rather than our differences. I highly suggest to watch the show. I found it to be incredibly creative and I hope you do as well!!!
Episodes that I liked: Paolo Sorrentino, Pablo Larraín, Lungano Nyoni, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Johnny Ma, Gurinder Chada and Ana Lily Aminpour.

Welcome to Netflix short movie festival but I wanna tell you something : some of them really childish and really boring... But of course I have some favorite.(3-4-5 were good) I try to watch this in September, maybe if I watched earlier, could be more watchable.
Netflix held a Worst Short Film contest...and everyone won. It's so bad I'm not sure what to say, just horrible throughout. And to the only other comment, talking about the third episode...I was interested because I have a 5 year old. That had to be the most disconnected and empty 4 minutes ever put on film. I'm giving it an extra star because I guess they tried.
I was perplexed by the fact that Netflix even considered these "short films" for showing to the general public!! This is a bunch of home video footage, which lacks everything what cinema must have. No narrative, no message, no editing, no decent camera work, no creativity, and no acting! The domesticity of some sequences made me uncomfortable at times. People are making much better videos on youtube. This is an embarrassment for a short film genre:(
And these videos say nothing about what this pandemic has been for all of us.
