SCP: Dollhouse

This short film punches way above its weight in terms of budget. I found it as intriguing and suspenseful as any massive budget horror flick. It reflects the issues faced by short films created by small personal crews, the acting is of a lower standard, the scope of the story is limited and available funds are low. However, this film manages to negate all of this through its simple yet stunningly effective writing, keeping the plot simple, intriguing and very easy to understand, and avoids massive exposition dumps. From moment one to the end credits, you know what's happening, where you are, and who's who. If I had to summarise the film in a word, it would be "concise". Nothing is overblown or pointlessly expanded upon, no story paralysing monologues, no boredom inducing exposition. A perfectly packaged little film that will shock you, intrigue you, and maybe even scare you. Overall a fantastic way to spend 15 minutes, I would absolutely recommend it.

I really like how this is made! And yea, if its with military or special forces than its even better, but for an scp movie! Its top notch movie. I have seen overlord which was also super good and interesting to watch, but its sad that they cancelled the new scp movie "Heretic" although i was hyped for it, it's cancelled and thats sad. But i say lots of respect to the director and everyone who helped making this, and thats what i also give it 10/10 rating! Because its military based of course. But for now i found also other movies with military stuff and like that, and i enjoy it also i enjoyed this movie.

As a fan of the lore, I got really excited when this was announced. I would hate it when I got excited over something that was fairly bad. Now the real question, was this short film a disappointment? Absolutely not. The cast is amazing, it's well written so that anyone can understand what happened from start to the ending. Even using airsoft guns in the short film, they felt real. The soundtrack sounds amazing. We've got ourselves a really well done job for a short film with low budget.
