Elf Day

This is not a movie. It is a selection of about 10 different clips being played over and over again with different dialogue each time. Everything about this screams laziness: from the incredible similar character models of the elves, to the lack any animation besides moving mouths, to the amount of filler scenes where characters simply repeat what they already said.

And I absolutely loved every second of it.

My kids were actually frightened by this movie. My 5 year old said the characters were creepy. The main problem was that the animation was bad and the mouth movements didn't match up with the dialogue. The dialogue was also very awkward and unnatural. We turned it off after only 10 minutes.

This movie deserves all the awards it's won. I can't believe how decorated this film is, but after watching it I can see why. This movie isn't a step, but a LEAP in computer animation. I cried when I watched Avatar for the first time, but Eld day is the first time I BAWLED at a film, if only for it's extreme beauty. The story is a classic heroes journey, but it's the raw beauty of the animation that really allows Elf Day to soar as the wonderful piece of art it is. Elf Day will be studied in art school across the globe and I fear for the day that we surpass the technology put into this film. I wish we could create a better rating scale for this film, because 10/10 feels to meager for it.

Absolutely some of the worst cgi I have ever seen. Santa and his reindeer are borderline horror. Talks of dark magic and an evil elf that mentally abuses his dragon. Because of the terrifying cgi I swore that this was 20 years old but was released in 2020! Stay away, don't waist precious moments in your life watching this one. On the other hand, If your looking for a good movie to rip for your YouTube channel this may just be your video.

I never write reviews, but this one is just terrible. The animation is from 20 years ago. The characters don't do anything but stand and talk. So boring. And the dialogue is horrible. Long exposition with words and phrases that just don't fit and are unnecessary - especially for kids. I hate to say it, but this is just terrible.
