I enjoyed watching this great adventure movie, even I have not seen the first one. There are lots of actions with few touches of light comedy. Love the action movie with minimal romantic. There are few fantasy bits involved but with the real life actions that have good special effects. The actors were the right ones to be chosen for this movie. The story is about a small group of villagers fighting along with the great army of warriors. Will not tell you anymore. Just see it for yourself and I bet you will enjoy watching it with your favourite munchies. I look forward to see the upcoming sequel.
A lesser sequel when compared to the first film. This one's strength is one again the production values, which allow for large scale and lavish battle sequences which will delight anybody brought up on an era of DYNASTY WARRIORS gameplay. In terms of plotting, this is weak sauce indeed, with the main character failing to progress on any kind of arc whatsoever; he just does badass things to look cool. Even worse, half the cast are brought back from the first movie only to stand around twiddling their thumbs in random courtroom interludes. The climactic action sequences are both extensive and lavish, which makes this enjoyable but only in a mild way.
This sequel is 130 minutes of our main character, Shin, fighting in a war. We get great action set pieces after another, each of them being well-choreographed. Kento Yamazaki returns as Xin and is still lovable but the new character Qiang Lei, played by Nana Seino, is the new highlight. It is an incredibly fast-paced thrill ride!
The film captures the scale of the war but it does still have that same issue from the first where they kind of make it too light-hearted. The plot is weaker as well since it is mostly just the war with some character development for Xin and Qiang. It is also disappointing to see 2 of the original main trio, Ying Zheng and He Liao Diao, do nothing in this entry. It does feel a bit long for what feels like a minimal plot as well.
Still, wish more people were watching this as it is still very entertaining.

I read the manga so I went to see the first movie and was impressed then. This second movie hasn't disappointed me neither. The battle scenes are good.
I can't wait to see the next one!

Japanese Movie '' Kingdom 2 : To The Far Land '' is the second movie of the Kingdom series and it takes place after the events of the first movie.
The pros of the movie were its characters and that great battle. The characters, especially the one that was introduced for the first time in this movie, had strong background stories and strong personalities to boot. They were those who supported the story, which wasn't much in the end. The great battle was, also, well handled and had enough action and nicely choreographed scenes.
On the other hand, the plot was stretched out too thinly. There wasn't much going on for most of its length, and things only picked up towards the ending, giving us hope for the third movie. So, as a whole, this movie serves more as a bridge between the two movies, with only a battle to show for it.
Finally, the performances were pretty great by everyone in the cast.
So, overall, five out of ten.
