As an long time Ratchet and Clank fan this is one the best entries in the series. The visuals and action scenes are truly spectacular. By far the best gameplay the series has ever seen. The only negative thing I have with the game is I wish it was longer!
Hoping Insomniac continues to make great entries into this beloved series.

I just gotta say I've loved the Ratchet and Clank series for years, and to see it come so far has been incredible. This game is no exception. The story is awesome, I love the new character Rivet and her story and I hope to see more of her in future games.
I just gotta say though the graphics are SPECTACULAR! Insomniac really outdid themselves with this game.
Definitely pick this game up! It's awesome.

This was the first PS5 game I played and I loved every minute of it. The game gives the same sense of adventure and fun that are staples of the franchise. Plus the entire game is gorgeous to look at.
This game is just so fun to play. The action is of the chart, the puzzles are amazing and weapons variety is also top. Animation is one of the best looks very detailed and graphics can't get any better with the power of the ps5. And the use and features of the dual sense and how it reacts to every weapon you use is just flawless. I liked the new character Rivet and they did an amazing job with all characters in general and the designs. So far there i can't find any bad thing about this game. And I say it's the best action game I played since Devil may cry 5!!. Yes it's that good. Everyone should try it even if you're not a fan of the racthet and clank games. It surpasses the first game in almost everything.
This game is absolutely phenomenal from beginning to end. The nostalgia is out of this world! From the original character designs all done to perfection with their bright colours and funny/quirky personalities, to the flawless level design, everything in this game is super colourful and vibrant and is just all up gorgeous to look at!
The guns in this game are all amazing and feel very immersive to use due to the haptic vibrations with the PS5 controller, and gun fights depending on what difficulty you're playing on can actually be quite the challenge if you aren't careful!! The movement is smooth and fluent throughout the entire game and the mini boss fights are super fun! The sounds to each gun are also very satisfying to listen to!
The story was also very good and I enjoyed every second of it! Definitely something new! So for anyone who is either new to Ratcher & Clank or have played every game in the series before like I have you will enjoy it no matter what and I would 110% recommend buying this game as it is definitely worth your time and money!
Straight up 11/10 for me!

This is hands down one of the best games ever! Crazy action packed, challenging but not impossible and very hard to put down! This should be the baseline used to create games. It's almost a shoot-everything-crazy-rampage type of game, but swapping weapons for different effects mixes it up so much you never get bored.

The game is truly fantastic! I haven't played a game like this in years, having lost interest in this genre and assuming that I would no longer enjoy it. I was mistaken. Ratchet and Clank is visually stunning and plays exceptionally well. The gameplay is incredibly fun and the characters are endearing. The switch between the two protagonists provides much-needed variety and does wonders for the story as a whole.
The gameplay is smooth and seamless, and the various types of weapons offer more than enough diversity so that the battles never become monotonous.
The game boasts wonderful worlds, characters, and gameplay. I never would have thought so when I first started playing it.

Great platformer!! Great voice acting!!
There is one major glitch in the game. If it auto saves after the first Clank mini mission and you stop playing, when you load up the save file Rivet WONT MOVE AT ALL! You have to replay and don't stop till you are past that point.

First off, let me get this out of the way, is RACRA a bad game? NO, are the graphics and sound fantastic? Yes they are, probably some of the best I've seen in a game like this but there's so many people giving this a 10 out of 10 and that is bonkers to me.
My first gripe with this is the voice acting, some of it is absolutely horrendous. I don't know who they've got for the voices in this game but it just sounds so sub par compared to previous games. Clank sounds the same but Ratchet sounds off, I can't put my finger on it but he just sounds different, less energetic and strangely flat. Dr Nefarious sounds the same even though he doesn't seem to have the humour and charm he once had and Captain Quark sounds different and not in a good way.
The zurkons are by far the worst culprits here and they come across as really obnoxious, grating and just awful. I don't know who's doing their voices now but they're dreadful. One of them narrates the arena fights and the weapons expo's which is awful, really squeaky and high pitched and quite hard to understand and the other is the weapons vendor who sounds like if you'd put Cardi B, Aunt Fan from Robots and Dolly Parton into a voice blender and gave them all a good churn, it really takes you out of the game.
The new characters are hit and miss, Rivet is ok, fairly likable character and voiced well enough, but the female clank character Kit just sounds weird. The voice work comes off as lazy and uninspired. Whoever is doing the voice for Kit sounds too sickly sweet and not robotic enough like Clank is, it doesn't fit the character.
The story is no where near as engaging as some of the other games in the series and the humour is sadly missing for the most part, it lacks charm.
This brings me to my main gripe with this and it's a big one, the length.
For a full priced £60+ game the length of RACRA is shocking. I literally completed this in a day and a half, yes, like the other games in the series there is the incentive to replay this to upgrade your weapons to premium ones but for a game this size, this really should be a budget title, it's no where near worth £60. I don't know the exact length of the game in hours, as I don't time myself while playing games but as I say, I had finished this in less than 2 days and it felt a heck of a lot shorter than say, the 2016 game or a crack in time.
There is a lot to love about this game, the controls are slick (for the most part) there's no loading screens, like I said earlier, the graphics and sound design are great but it just feels more like a large DLC than a full AAA game. I'm disappointed in it. I don't have a load of money to throw around on games as it is, so to spend £60 on a game this short is a real shame. It wouldn't have hurt them to put in some nice side quests for each planet or even a few collectathons like they used to do in the earlier games to give you a bit more to do but apart from the main questline, I think there's maybe the arena and 3 or 4 side quests which take a few minutes each to do, not nearly enough content.
Shame :(

Here are the personal negatives I had about this game:
-the story felt very dragged out and unfulfilling, a bit of a grind
-the missions mostly felt the same, it was just waves of enemies and boss fights
-I found some moments cringe (maybe I'm just not the target audience)
-the ending was like a 'that's it?' There's this buildup of Ratchet wanting to meet the Lombaxes, and I was hoping to see some sort of relationship form between Rivet and Ratchet but in the end it's just sort of... something next to nothing.
If there's a next Ratchet and Clank game I think I'd be really good if they continued the Lombax storyline and develop Ratchet and Rivet's relationship (as well as Kit and Rivet's).
Besides what I found wasn't great about the game, it was pretty solid. The amount of side quests and set up of the characters was cool (armour, collectibles, etc), also the graphics are definitely amazing. Just wish they'd put some more thought into the story.

This game is the worst Ratchet and Clank game if you can call it that. The new female charaters cant seem to shut up they are annoying as hell and ofcourse every body loves them.. Puke. The main bosses you defeat them as this new charater. You barely play as Ratchet and clank. This game is a bait and switch lure you in with the male charaters and then switch them to the new characters. If this is the road future games in this series are going to be like i say wait till they are in the bargain bin. Visualy the game looks good the controls are clunky tge voice acting of the original is oke the rest..... I gave it a 5 and even that is 2 high.
I loved playing the Ratchet & Clank game from 2016, so I was eager to play the latest part of the franchise, the PS5 exclusive Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
The game is one hell of a ride. It is fast paced, even faster than usual, with the rifts and the non existent loading screens. Thanks to the next gen technology.
The gameplay is great again. The weapon loadout is diverse and as always it is a lot of fun to switch between weapons during a fight agains a lot of enemies to create a beatiful chaos.
The story is fun aswell, however it is very simple and clearly adressed to children. There is nothing that will blast you of your seat and the dialogue is very simple.
All in all an entertaining shooter about 10 hours in playtime. If you like the series, you have no choice but to play this aswell. For the rest: If you like fast paced shooters and a compelling story is not important to you, buy this game!
