The action RPG by HoYoverse is currently going through Version 5.7, a patch with an important Archon Quest and the introduction of Skirk as a playable character. However, the game will soon head into its next update, considering the regular six-week schedule for each patch.

Before the release of Natlan, but after the character showcase presented by HoYoverse, fans started a petition requesting that the game reassess Natlan’s characters. The petition for better representation in Genshin Impact on Change.org reached over 70,000 signatures at the time of its publication, with supporters accusing the game of whitewashing its roster of Natlan characters, who are clearly inspired by Western African and South American cultures. Recently, however, the petition requesting better representation applied to the game’s characters has gone over 125,000 signatures.

The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is Genshin Impact's newest boss and will be a crucial one in the near future for leveling characters. The 5.3 update was the first of Genshin Impact's 2025 plans, and a conclusion to the initial story of Natlan. A region that has been an unfortunate roller coaster for many reasons. The gameplay, region, and story were relatively good, but the characters have been a mixed bag, and paired with a lot of controversy about design at the beginning.

5.3 also added two of the strongest characters released in a while. These are the Pyro Archon Mavuika, and Cryo Shielder/Debuffer Citlali. Compared to other Natlan characters, Mavuika and Citlali are must-pulls for accounts that can afford it. In the former case, Archons are always strong characters with flexibility, and while Citlali is more niche, her debuff strength warrants her usage.

According to Game Science’s director, Feng Ji, the main obstacle lies in optimizing the game for the Xbox Series S. He says the process has mainly been hindered by its limited 10Gb shared memory. This has been a recurring problem with Microsoft’s lower-tiered console and it raises the question of whether Game Science should even bother with a series S release.

Some images of Amphoreus’ main city in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0, allegedly called Okhema, have leaked and despite how exciting it is to see the new destination with more details ahead of its release in mid-January 2025, the location’s design has unsettling similarities with a region in another of developer HoYoverse’s games: Genshin Impact. Hunter x Hunter's new fighting game, Nen x Impact has been banned in Australia due to suggestions of sexual violence against minors according to a recent report. Though Hunter x Hunter is a believed series among anime fans, one of the series' main antagonists, Hisoka, remains a controversial aspect. It seems that controversy has now boiled over, with Hisoka's disquieting antics meaning that Bushiroad and Eighting's Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact won't receive classification in Australia, effectively banning the game.

In a report by Automaton Media, the Australian Classification board specifically said that it wouldn't classify the new game with its rating system due to "sexual violence against characters under the age of 18 by an adult male character." Together Films has acquired international sales rights to Zurawski v Texas, a documentary about abortion access in the US, ahead ofInternational Documentary Festival Amsterdam.
