Happily ever after rarely plays out well on soaps. Once a couple unites and settles into domestic bliss, they face the dreaded doldrums. Their days of fun, front-burner action slowly disappear. That’s why Cole’s tragic death was the absolute best thing for Victoria on The Young and the Restless.
Vibrant Victoria
Pre-Cole (J. Eddie Peck), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was vibrant, spirited, and spunky. She was a shark in the boardroom, and a sexpot in the bedroom. Remember her sizzling affair with Nate (Sean Dominic)? Her cutthroat tactics to pull off a corporate coup?
Victoria was a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with in every area of her life; the daughter who made the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) proud.
Read This: We can’t stop watching these Y&r pets.
Suddenly, Dullsville
But after getting back together with Cole (J. Eddie Peck), all of the above fell by the wayside.

It’s not every day that Bruce Springsteen releases seven albums at the same time — 83 songs in all, going back over 40 years. But there’s never been an archival project with the same crazed ambition of his new box, Tracks II: The Lost Albums. His 1998 Tracks was a crate-digging collection of vault gems that fans had spent years praying for — or hoarding on bootlegs. But Tracks II is a whole different ballgame: seven unreleased albums Springsteen made, trying out various genres and voices, spanning from 1983 to 2018. Each one of these...

Exclusive: Israeli content streamer Izzy is pushing into daily series, and veteran international TV exec David Levine is onboard to oversee the strategy.
The plan is kicking off this month with Dumb, an Israeli drama series for Hot that was licensed from Dori Media. It was created by and stars Bat-Chen Sabag and Lior Raz (Fauda), and Shay Capon is the director. Episodes will rollout every weekday.
That will be followed by a slate of teen dramas from Paramount Global’s Israeli production house, Ananey Studios, and we understand that Teen Nick drama Rising is among the first of them. The strategy, led by former Disney Channel and Moonbug exec Levine, is being positioned as a response to a perceived growing appetite for serialized programs.
“Expanding into daily drama represents a transformative moment for Izzy,” said Nati Dinnar, CEO and co-founder of Izzy. “We are redefining what international audiences can...

Destiny 2 has been one of the longest-running and most successful live-service titles. But while the game excels in delivering high-stakes battles and stunning visuals, its lack of active non-playable characters (NPCs) in solo missions stands out as a missed opportunity.
Destiny: Rising is actually better in this aspect. | Image Credit: Bungie
The game’s mobile counterpart may have already done it better. Destiny Rising may be bogged down by gacha mechanics and subpar voice acting, it does offer active Npc allies in missions. If Bungie takes this idea and puts it into Destiny 2, it’d be a big improvement to solo missions.
Destiny 2 has an Npc problem that Destiny: Rising doesn’t
In Destiny 2, NPCs are largely relegated to static roles. Zavala, Ikora, and Shaxx, for instance, are introduced as legendary figures in the game’s lore. But in actual missions, they don’t do a lot. Zavala might deploy a bubble shield,...

Though he may never have hit megastar status, Robert Patrick has been a stalwart presence in Hollywood ever since his biggest role as the T-1000 in James Cameron's seminal "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." So definitive was his performance that Patrick has actually played the T-1000 outside of "T2" multiple times, despite the fact that his character was never officially brought back for any of the sequels.
But any fan of the actor will know that he's also had a consistent and actually pretty darn impressive run of work ever since that 1991 blockbuster. He also remains active today, most recently showing up in season 2 of Prime Video's "Reacher" series, where his primary antagonist was a clear homage to his role in Cameron's classic. Patrick also played a frankly horrible human being in season 1 of "Peacemaker," and could be seen in season 1 of the short-lived HBO series "Perry Mason."

Love it or hate it, Netflix is still a dominating force in the streaming wars. As of 2024, the platform has 282 million paid subscribers worldwide, with roughly 96 million of those coming from North America alone. That means if you recommend a worthwhile Netflix original movie for someone to check out, there's a good chance they already have a subscription lined up to watch it. And recommendations can be so very crucial, as Netflix constantly cycles through movies and TV shows to the degree that it's easy for a real gem to get lost in the mix.
Many Netflix movies don't wind up in theaters at all, with a few noteworthy exceptions. That means there's typically a small window where a film can make an impact and get some buzz going before it's shifted out of the carousel at the top of the homepage. 2024 had a host of great Netflix originals, from...

For more than half a century, the character Ultraman has taken many iterations, from a costumed hero on the screen, both big and small, to illustrations in manga and moving designs in anime. With Ultraman: Rising, the character is given a new look that draws upon the past, incorporating elements that use groundbreaking technology from the wizards at Industrial Light and Magic to help bring director Shannon Tindle's concept of the character to the fore for a new generation.

Marvel's Star Wars comics have confirmed that the Inquisitors, the Empire's deadly sect of fallen Jedi and other dark Force users, remains active and dangerous at the dawn of the franchise's post-Return of the Jedi era. With the Emperor and Darth Vader gone, Star Wars has a power vacuum when it comes to Dark Side threats, and The Battle for Jakku has just introduced the latest one.
Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku - Insurgency Rising #3 written by Alex Segura, with art by Jethro Morales and Leonard Kirk finds the team sent by Princess Leia to spy on Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard captured, only to be freed by Adelhard's second in command, Lieutenant Alaytia.

Ultraman: Rising Directing Team Say The Key To Netflix Animated Movie's Success Was "Creative Trust"
Ultraman: Rising is the latest in a long line of media from the IP, however, the new Netflix take on the series doesnt require viewers to know an immense amount of lore to enjoy it. It introduces brand-new protagonist Ken Sato, who takes over the Ultraman mantle from his father. The newest comes from co-directors Shannon Tindle and John Aoshima, who previously collaborated together on the 2016 film Kubo and the Two Strings.
Though many projects in the Ultraman franchise have focused on fighting kaiju, Rising focuses more on their protection. After a fight with the kaiju Gigantron, Ken discovers a newly hatched baby of the same creature, which imprints on him as a parent. This family focus of Ultraman: Rising - both when it comes to raising the kaiju Emi and Kens relationships with other characters in the film - serves it well, earning the film critical praise for its...

Emperor Palpatine's contingency plan in the event of his death is officially under way in Star Wars comics, granting fans the chance to finally see Operation: Cinder carried out across the galaxy. Sentinel droids are delivered to Star Destroyers of the Empire's top commanders, containing pre-recorded messages delivered to every Imperial on board:
"Resistance. Rebellion. Defiance. These are concepts that cannot be allowed to persist. You are but one of many tools by which these ideas shall be burned away."
So far in the Star Wars universe, the idea of a formal Rebellion and a structured Resistance were eventually made real, and claimed as names for entire movements. These two concepts have opposed Palpatine thus far, and I think the Defiance is the next major threat to Emperor Palpatine's plans.

Jabba the Hutt is an iconic Star Wars villain - a terrifying crime lord who gained power even under the crushing boot of Palpatine's Empire. However, he finally met his end over the Great Pit of Carkoon at the hands of Princess Leia Organa, during the rescue of Han Solo. Now, in new stories set directly after the events of Return of the Jedi, Jabba is quickly replaced by his majordomo, Bib Fortuna. Fortuna was first introduced as Jabba's replacement in the post credits scene of The Mandalorian Season 2, but in The Battle of Jakku - Insurgency Rising (2024) #2, fans see him officially claim the throne.

Although the main Destiny franchise is continuing to receive updates after Destiny 2's last expansion, The Final Shape, the announcement of a new mobile game set in the Destiny universe could give fans something else to look forward to. Since the release of the original Destiny in 2014, the franchise has received several expansions and one major sequel, Destiny 2, but developer Bungie has announced no plans to develop more games in the franchise.
As of October 14, however, Destiny: Rising has been announced as a new mobile game set in the Destiny universe, with a cinematic trailer and an upcoming closed alpha test starting on November 1. Currently, the mobile title has no set release date, but interested fans can pre-register for the upcoming closed alpha on the official Destiny: Rising website. Simone Biles is calling upon another Paris icon to help her tease Part 2 of her Netflix docuseries, “Simone Biles Rising.”
On the heels of the “Emily in Paris” Season 4, Part 1 premiere, the Olympic gymnast parodied memorable lines from Lily Collins’ titular character in a Wednesday teaser — while also revealing her own Oct. 25 return to the streamer for “Rising” Part 2.
“Ever since I moved to Paris, my life has been chaotic and dramatic and complicated,” Biles says, quoting Emily. “Without basic b–hes like me, you wouldn’t be fashionable.”
She concludes, “I’m not somebody who can share a crêpe, I need the whole crêpe.”
Part 1 of “Simone Biles Rising” tracked the athlete’s return to Olympic glory following her decision to step away from the Tokyo 2021 Games due to her mental health. Episodes 1 and 2 touched upon institutionalized racism and sexism within her sport, as well as Biles’ reaction to the Larry Nassar abuse case.

Simone Biles Rising humanizes the gymnastics legend, showing her as a regular person with extraordinary talent. The docu-series is shaping how people react to elite athletes like Biles in the more free-spirited Olympic environment. Biles' story in the series includes insights from her family and husband, revealing the struggles she overcame to achieve success.
Simone Biles Rising debuted on Netflix on July 17, 2024, just ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics. It has been moving around the streamer's Top 10 list ever since, its lifespan only extending as the gymnastics events in Paris have taken a front seat. Oscar-winning director and screenwriter Michel Hazanavicius has voiced his fears over rising antisemitism in a heart-felt opinion piece in France’s Le Monde newspaper.
The French-born director is descended from Jewish grandparents who fled persecution in Lithuania and Poland in the 1920s, making a new life in France, to then find themselves on the run again during World War Two.
The director – whose black and white silent movie The Artist won five Oscars in 2012 – has said in the past that he was raised in a family that identified as Jewish but was not religious.
In his opinion piece, Hazanavicius said that until recently his Jewishness had been just one aspect of his identity, to which he did not give much thought, but this was now changing.
