Leverage: Redemption

Such a fun show

Leverage: Redemption is the reboot from the original. It brings the whole gang back together except Timothy Hutton with Noah Wyle, otherwise the rest of the cast is all back. The series is about some reformed criminals who put their unique skills to good use by helping regular citizens against big companies of both corporate and government that take advantage of those regular citizens. The come up with elaborate scams targeted against these greedy corrupt people and help the victims get justice. I love how at the end of each episode they do the flashbacks at everything we missed to make the plan come together and be successful. It's the same thing as the Oceans movies did. If you're looking for a fun show to waste a little time with then give Leverage: Redemption a chance.

Not quite as good as the original but still pretty good

Leverage: Redemption is the reboot of Leverage and has the entire original cast back with the exception of Timothy Hutton (because of his legal problems), they replaced him with Noah Wyle who steps in and does a fantastic job. All the heists are exactly as the original but the characters have all since grew and evolved since we last saw them. This is just a flat out fun show to watch if you can just turn your brain off because some of it is ridiculous but in a good way. As long as you don't think too deeply about what you're watching then I promise you'll have a good time watching it. If you're a fan of the original Leverage then this show is absolutely for you.

OMG lov it 1 problem

The only problem I have is Aleyse Shannon AKA Breanna her role just sucks I hate the fact she acts like she knows it all and she the Original Crew I really hate her role she acts like you can't teach her nothing always has this im better then Aldis Hodge AKA Hardison attitude they should have made her role like they did Noah Wyle AKA Harry like the crew teaching them it would have been better but I still watch it cause I love leverage just sometimes wish they would just cancel her or make her shut up. I'm mean maybe next season if they have one maybe be more leaning and less smart ass. FYI LOV IT.

WATCH IT

S01 S02 S03 Great Show to Watch if you don't want to think and Just want to Enjoy There are some Really Funny Moments if you Have a Funny Sense of Humour Every Episode is Light and Fun with an Easy Flow of Stories It Does Remind me a Lot of The Reboot Macgyver but in a Different Way Great for a chill out Watch.

This Show really needs lots more Season's to Watch and More episodes if Possible

Everyone is Great at there Roles and it is a delight to watch them

There Should be More Shown made like this where the story is Simple - Fun and it doesn't require you to Think much

If you unwell and/or Need a Day off this show is Perfect for that And it is a good Watch as well for anyone out there Every episode I give a 8 or 9 out of 10.

Ready for Season 4

Love this show. I want a season 4. I have enjoyed all the episodes. The actors and the characters they play are excellent. It's aways exciting to see what happens next. Have loved the addition of Breanna and Harry. Was glad to see Hurley back. Each episode stays true to the original concept and brings new ideas each time. Enjoyed seeing Tara and having Parker and Astrid work together. I hope Hardison will be able to join the crew in future episodes. Overall a great show. I look forward to each new episode. I have re-watched each season several times and will watch again. This show is a winner and needs to continue with more seasons.

Happy they revived this show!

Fun Fun Fun! Good story with lots of humor. We need more Robin Hood stories with happy endings! Love the cast of characters and how they interact with each other. Thank you for bringing this back in such a great way. It is as good if not better than the original.

Nostalgic reboot-sequel that loses steam a little

I was ecstatic to see Leverage return and loved the first couple of episodes because they had the old-school feel of the earlier seasons, but after a few episodes the reboot started to feel a little tired and repetitive. I have to say, Aldis Hodge's absence makes itself known very acutely - you really realize how important his presence was for the team dynamic that made up the magic of the earlier seasons. Still definitely worth watching though!

As good as the original

Not sure if the bad reviews are from people who actually even watched the original because they seem to complain about the content and how silly it is. The show was ALWAYS silly. That was part of the fun. The other group are the people who complain about the lack of Nate Ford and hate the new characters. The reasons Timothy Hutton left the show are the reasons he left the show and he more then likely isn't coming back even though they have been settled. The show gave Nate Ford a happy ending and it works for the show and bringing him back will cast a needless darkness on a light hearted show. And yes the show bends toward a certain direction that won't appeal to everyone. The crew are not going to take the side of a rich businessman trying to force his employees off the picket line. They just aren't. If that is who you root for then this isn't the show for you. But it is a fun light hearted heist show that doesn't take itself too seriously and is fun to watch.

Serviceable at best

The original series was a diamond in the rough. The reboot is serviceable, at best. I loved Noah in ER and thought he would be a great replacement but his character was a huge disappointment. Parker was downright intolerable though. The overacting ruined the episodes, IMO. The show just didn't have the same magic.

Welcome Back

Good to have these guys back in my life, lol. Loving it already. Noah Wyle is a nice touch. I miss Timothy Hutton, but Noah and the rest of the cast have good chemistry. Lets hope for a Season 2.

Fantastic series 3

Love that the team are back together and seeing how their characters have developed is a joy.

I was hooked from the start of the original series. Although I admit it was Eliot that made me want to watch again!

All the characters brings their own unique story and talent to each episode.

Seeing Parker do her "thing" was refreshing and the fact that she realised she still needed the back up of the team, but was able to explore her feelings and make peace with them was inspired.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of the characters back stories in season 4.

Briana's and Hardison's including Nana!

I've just finished the last episode of season 3 so it's back to season1 episode 1 for me .

The Robin Hoodlums are back!!!!!

This was everything I hoped for and more. The original characters kept their appeal and stayed true to their roots, and the new additions are wonderful. Same great writing, directing, and acting. All the "jobs" were fantastic with Parker's love of vents, the costumes, and Eliot's fight scenes. I do miss Nate but Noah Wylie's character is so much fun and he never ever tries to replace Nate. I'm so glad the wait is finally over but it was definitely worth it. Thank you Dean Devlin for giving us back our hitter, hacker, grifter, and thief!!!!!

Worth the hype and more!!

This show is really EVERYTHING. It's energetic, thrilling, funny and occasionally goofy too *but* goes deep just before you'd forget that the characters the team created feel real and fleshed-out. I especially loved the 3rd Season (rating rigth after I watched the 10th episode)!

It's very engaging, the developers did a great job with the reboot and I want them working on the show forever!!!

I'm reviewing as someone not from the USA and I'm just as hooked as the majority of the fans. The storylines are compelling (both episode-by-episode and the overarching story) and I love anything with a good con. And Leverage Redemption delivers! Loved the old dynamics and am enamored with the new ones. I could list all of the actors but my favourites this season have been Beth Riesgraf and Noah Wyle!

Love Leverage Redemption

I never miss it. Bring back for season 4 PLEASE and beyond.

Glad all my favorite characters are back. It's funny, interesting, still refreshing in a sea of shows that have nudity, foul language and violence that causes death. It's wholesome and oh so entertaining. The redemption piece is a wonderful slant on doing the same but the inner struggle from the guilt of doing so wrong to so many and saving others and their own soul. I did wish when it started that Nate would be back, but since you killed him off there's no chance. If you settle your differences, maybe some flashbacks would be possible? Keep this on as long as the actors are having fun!

Nostalgia + some pretty good episodes

I'm a bit torn on this. I'm happy that they brought it back and there's a lot of the show that feels true to the original (not taking itself too seriously) but as others have said, losing Nate Ford really hurt the team dynamic. Sophie doesn't carry the same gravitas and the actress simply can't hold the same role (she never has been able to...IMO she was the shining weak point in the first series too)

I do find the show a little preachy at times, and while I get that this is the new norm, I think there's a pretty bad break in immersion when the young girl is all self righteous and somehow the one who knows more than the adults about what is "right" in the world. And missing Hardison is rough...he's way better than his replacement.

Also Parkers bangs in season 1 are awful...but not as bad as Elliot's entire hairstyle in season 2. Bleh.

All of that said, I'm happy to see the show back at it. I'll continue watching it and it's not unwatchable by any means...it's just not as good as the original. And this is one of those situations that I don't know that I would like it as much without the nostalgia factor... but then again I may like it more if I weren't comparing it to the old one.

Season 3 best yet!

Season 3 has been the best of Redemption yet!

Eight seasons in with these characters, and they're constantly finding new depths, compelling arcs, and layers upon layers in their emotional relationships. "The Grand Complication Job," "The Shakedown in Clone-Town Job," and "The Side Job" from this season were some of the best leverage episodes of all time. There are always more bad guys in the world worthy of the Leverage team's justice, and watching them get their comeuppance by such lovable characters is endlessly compelling.

Amazing season all around, and gosh I hope we get more of this show!

Amazing

This is my favourite show of all time. Its my comfort go- to show. It has excitement; action; comedy and is great for all the family to watch together. The cast are brilliant and you can see how much they mean to each other both in the show and in real life too. It really shines through. If you need cons- well there's not enough episodes! Need more series! Need them sooner rather than later, I mean it's over too soon, what am I supposed to do now!!! Rewatch you say- well actually I rewatch Leverage and Leverage Redemption on a daily basis! I can't even say how many times I've watched these amazing shows. More please, please, please!!!!

Best revival

Leverage is one of the best shows around, imo, and Leverage: Redemption is one of the best reboots I've ever had the privilege to watch. Top notch storytelling, both on an episodic and serial level. John Rogers and Chris Downey are unafraid to dig into uncomfortable truths, and provide all around high-quality entertainment. Super satisfying character development. My favorite found family story of all time. Hope it gets renewed for a 4th season! We need more clear-sighted stories that acknowledge the things that are hurting the world while still believing in the good that humans can accomplish if we set our minds to it.
