    Amélie-style feelgood rom-com from Ghallywood

    My first Ghallywood movie.

Romeo & Juliet set in Ghana, minus the melodrama and the tragedy.

A lighhearted feelgood comedy, with a simple storyline and a predictable outcome. In a town divided into two opposing groups, a man and woman from opposite sides fall for each other.

The script is a bit childish and naive at times, but it is funny and lighthearted. I liked the yellow and blue sets, clothes and everyday objects. It reminded me of a mix between Wes Anderson and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Amélie.

If you're feeling blue or yellow, this is a good way to spend 106 minutes and end the day with a smile.

Where can I get a copy

Its very sad you can't even get a copy of the movie to watch in Ghana.

    I got a copy

It's very sad that there are copies of this movie freely available outside of Ghana; the torment endured watching this steaming pile of worthless drivel should be entirely confined to Ghana, instead of being unleashed on the innocent world at large.

Absolutely zero worth in the script, the production, the direction or the acting; this weekend project barely worthy of consideration as a production by a direly failing high school drama class should be relegated to the bin before more people have their sensibilities and intelligence insulted.

If you've experienced difficulty in getting a copy of this pile, consider yourself lucky.

A great concept and lovely set design, but...

'Aloevera' has a great concept and lovely set design, I just do not believe there is enough to it to justify a feature-length flick; its got short film written all over it. Aaron Adatsi and Alexandra Ayirebi-Acquah are decent leads, Kofi Adjorlolo and Benjamin Adaletey are well cast too.

As mentioned above, the idea (and commentary) is good and visually the movie does look the part. However, the plot very quickly becomes repetitive and slow paced, it does end fairly solidly but not to the point that it makes all that preceded it watchable. It is pleasant to look at though, Wes Anderson-esque.
