One Piece has its fair share of criticisms, and fake-out deaths are one of them. From Igaram to Pell, there was a series of moments that paved the way for fake deaths in the anime. Luffy is no exception to that, especially with the sheer amount of plot armor in the series, but there is a catch to that as well.

While Oda heavily incorporated plot armor in his writing, Goku’s character in the Dragon Ball series takes it to a whole new level. So much so that the character may have even abused this element, as pointed out by several fans. It does, however, tie in well with Oda’s death-baiting aspect in his series.
Goku and the overuse of plot armor
Goku, as we all know, is one of the strongest Saiyans in the Dragon Ball universe.

It's good being the God of War in Percy Jackson and the Olympians' universe.
In a conversation with Screen Rant, Adam Copeland expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play Ares on Disney+'s hit TV adaptation and what lies in store for his future in Percy Jackson's story. "I realize that actors wait their entire careers to get on a show like this and some never do. I don't look past it at all, and I realize what a gift I've been given with the writing and with the character of Ares, because it's the kind of character that is just open for exploration," Copeland said.

A few more mythological faces just climbed aboard Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Snowpiercer's Aleks Paunovic will join Percy Jackson's cast as the legendary cyclops Polyphemus, serving as the season's central antagonist and current keeper of the Golden Fleece. Additionally, Rosemarie DeWitt (Smile 2) will have a supporting villain role as C.C., a "New Age guru-type" whom Percy and Annabeth Chase meet while trying to retrieve the Fleece and rescue Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) from Polyphemus' clutches. Big game acquisitions have dominated news anytime they come to light and the latest concerns Bloodborne's developer, FromSoftware, and its parent company, Kadokawa. Usually, Microsoft and Xbox are the ones working on massive acquisitions of big studios, spending billions of dollars on the likes of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard in recent years. The money spent on these acquisitions is truly mouthwatering, and while it wouldn't be a surprise if Microsoft was trying to buy another game-developing giant, Sony, Microsoft's great rival in the gaming space, is the one looking to spend the big bucks on Kadokawa.
In the gaming space, Kadokawa is known as the parent company of FromSoftware, largely due to the reach, appeal, and fame that the studio has after winning two Game of the Year awards in the past five years (and it could make it three with Shadow of the Erdtree's controversial nomination). With Elden Ring's climactic Dlc, Shadow of the Erdtree, fans finally have a complete picture of all the major bosses they'll take on in the game. Bosses fall into a handful of categories in Elden Ring, from Legendary enemies all the way up to Gods. Demigod bosses are a specific boss type with a range of difficult attacks, spells, and powerful item drops, and are all tied to key story elements and Npc quests. Demigods are among the most challenging bosses in the game and defeating them requires planning and a thorough understanding of each one's move set.
[Warning: Spoilers for Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree.]
There are eight Demigod bosses in total, six from the base game and two from Shadow of the Erdtree: Godrick the Grafted, Starscourge Radahn, Morgott, the Omen King, Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, Mohg, Lord of Blood, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, Messmer the Impaler, and Promised Consort Radahn.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 is approximately a third of the way to completion.
Speaking with Comicbook.com, executive producer and series creator Rick Riordan shared an update on how far into production the Disney+ show's next season is right now. Thalia Grace is finally coming to Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Disney+ confirmed via a press statement that Tamara Smart will play Thalia in Percy Jackson season 2, an adaptation of Rick Riordan's second Percy Jackson novel, The Sea of Monsters. Smart's audition was heavily praised by Riordan, who declared in the statement, "Thalia Grace is one of the most important characters in the Percy Jackson universe, so the right casting was critical. Thalia is a powerful warrior, a fiercely loyal friend, and a demigod rebel with a very 'punk' / 'rage-against-the-machine' sensibility. As soon as we saw Tamara Smart play this role, we knew we had found our daughter of Zeus. She was, no pun intended, electric. Tamara puts the 'grace' in Thalia Grace!"

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is officially heading out to sea.
A promotional teaser for Percy Jackson season 2 was unveiled at D23 this weekend, revealing that the hit Disney+ show is officially in production. Narrated by an older Percy (Walker Scobell), the teaser largely recaps the events of season 1, including Percy discovering his demigod heritage, fighting mythological monsters, and preventing a war between the Greek Gods from destroying civilization. It then cuts to new footage of Percy stepping into a chariot with Poseidon's insignia on it, teasing "that is just the beginning" before re-confirming season 2 as an adaptation of Rick Riordan's The Sea of Monsters novel.

Elden Ring's lore remains partially ambiguous, with some aspects elaborated on, but many mysteries left unanswered. Mysteries like Melina's identity, the land of Kaiden, and Radahn's motives remain unclear despite Shadow of the Erdtree's release. Empyreans lack consistency, and characters like Godwyn and the Gloam-Eyed Queen remain unresolved.
As with any Soulsborne game, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree requires players to do some investigating to uncover its story, lore, and mysteries. The expansion left many mysteries unanswered, annoyingly, but this isn't surprising, since FromSoftware is known for leaving many aspects of the worlds it creates up to interpretation. Quite frankly, discovering and learning about the lore that the game doesn't overtly tell its players has become part of the fun and is something to look forward to in many Soulsborne games.
The expansion has done a decent job on elaborating on many aspects of the base game.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri loved fighting gods and getting drenched while bringing Percy Jackson and the Olympians to life.
Sitting down with Entertainment Weekly during San Diego Comic-Con, the Percy Jackson trio talked about their season 1 experiences and what scene, in particular, each actor enjoyed filming the most. While Scobell initially selected his duel against Ares (Adam Copeland), he switched to Percy's underwater scenes, calling them "super fun for me to film because it's just like... I would come up every twenty minutes because I'd be on oxygen tanks. It was so awesome." Jeffries agreed, loving the Waterland setpieces because "the water was warm and they had jets too so it felt like a big jacuzzi," before teasing Scobell about a moment on-set where the jets hit him at full blast.

There are a lot of elements in Elden Ring that fail to make an appearance in the recent Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc, and while most of them are forgivable, players might just riot over the absence of this one demigod in the Realm of Shadow.
While the game might have brought back one of the mightiest beings in the lore, Starscourge Radahn, it disappointingly fails to bring back his nemesis and Miquella’s empyrean twin sister, Malenia.
Hidetaka Miyazaki Missing out on This One Demigod Is Now Being Deemed Criminal
Afflicted with the curse of Scarlet Rot, Malenia played a huge role in the game’s storyline despite being an optional boss. She was also dubbed the hardest boss in Elden Ring before the release of the recent Dlc, which makes it even more saddening to see how the studio failed to include her once again despite being presented with the perfect opportunity.

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree Dlc has been in deep waters ever since its release last month, getting mixed feedback from fans around the globe. And while it misses out on a lot lore-wise, fans have started realizing there is another major mechanic that the Realm of Shadow lacks.

As you further travel through the different parts of The Lands Between, you come across many merchants like Kyle allowing you to buy and sell items, a mechanic that’s missing in the recent Dlc.

Elden Ring is a difficult game. Take it as a statement, fact, cultural phenomenon, or epiphany. Conquering the game’s many challenges is no easy feat, and most bosses require a certain skillset to get through.
However, one player has seemingly gotten through Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss without really doing much. This may sound like a humble way of putting things forward, but that’s truly not the case.

There are no boundaries to the level of detail Hidetaka Miyazaki loves to include in his creations, and the recent Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring is no exception to this rule.
One of the weirdest phenomena during the playthrough in the Realm of Shadow is not being able to ride your torrent in the Abyssal Woods, which was confusing at first, but as players dug deeper, they found the answer in plain sight.

Disney is entering a very difficult period in the company's history. Off the back of its 100th anniversary and a year of hits and flops at the box office, the studio is going to need to readjust. 2024 has been and will continue to be hugely influential for the brand, and part of the company's strategy is to boost interest in the Disney+ streaming service. Some major shows are hitting Disney+ this year, all of which should connect with audiences on a personal level.
Audiences have to feel they are getting their money's worth from the streaming platform, especially as consumers begin to drop unnecessary costs in their lives. Thus far, Disney+ has been hugely defined by Marvel Studios and LucasFilm and while that will continue in 2024, there are some other projects which will hopefully demonstrate that the platform has so much more to offer.

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 1.
The season 1 finale of Percy Jackson teases the replacement of Luke Castellan as the head counselor of the Hermes cabin at Camp Half-Blood, with the Stoll brothers being shown as potential candidates. The show's focus on certain demigod characters in season 1 follows the trend set by the books and hints at the introduction of more demigods in future seasons to play important roles in the fight against Kronos. The tease of the Stoll brothers included in the finale suggests that the show will continue to expand its roster of essential characters, making the demigod teases even bigger in future seasons.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians' season 1 finale features a subtle tease toward Luke Castellan's Camp Half-Blood replacement. Undoubtedly one of the biggest mysteries throughout Percy Jackson season 1 was which friend would betray Percy as per the Oracle's prophecy.

The official character posters for the Disney+ adaptation of Percy Jackson and Olympians have dropped, featuring the fan-favorite trio of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover.
Although all three posters bear the same black and gold theme, each key art still has different designs to represent the character’s Greek mythology affiliation. For Walker Scobell’s titular hero and Leah Sava Jeffries’ Annabeth Chase, their posters feature a trident and an owl, symbolizing their respective divine parents, Poseidon and Athena. Meanwhile, Aryan Simhadri’s Grover Underwood poster shows goat horns, representing the Greek god of satyrs, Pan. Unlike his demigod friends, his signature weapon will be reed pipes, used to play songs that can grow plants or lure enemies.

Though Chika has yet to share full details about Samson: The album, we do know it includes “Requiem For A Dream” — which marked her first new single since 2021 when it dropped in June — and the recent Freddie Gibbs collaboration “Truth Or Dare.” Back in May, she teased that Snoop Dogg will also make an appearance.

Screen Rant is proud to present the first official look at Open, a dark musical comedy from writer, director, and actor, Miles Doleac. While there is no official release date, discussions are currently being had with several distribution companies, and producers are hopeful for a 2023 premiere. The movie follows a woman in an unhappy marriage who develops feelings for a television star that has fallen from grace. However, the film's complexities don't stop there, as she soon begins having hallucinations about fronting an 80's New Wave band.
In addition to Doleac, who was recently featured in the Nicolas Cage-led horror-comedy Renfield, Open stars Jeremy London as former teen heartthrob, Erik LeRoux. London has acting credits dating back to 1991 and has worked on projects such as Descendant, MacGyver, Demigod, and Hunt Club. Lindsay Anne Williams, Elena Sanchez, and William Forsythe are also included in the main cast.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians producer Becky Riordan has assured fans that the first season will still consist of eight episodes despite one report suggesting otherwise.
Riordan, who is the wife of Percy Jackson creator Rick Riordan, took to Twitter to clear the air after fan speculation began to run rampant about the Disney+ show having its episode order reduced. "Please note if you didn't already know that there are 8 episodes in our TV show. Not sure where the 6 came from? Maybe it's a typo?" Riordan tweeted, responding to an article that stated that Percy Jackson would only have six episodes in its first season. Riordan added that the "story in 6 episodes would be like Percy forgetting he is even on a quest hmm wait a minute that almost happened!"

Quick Links Unlocking Coconut Trees In Dreamlight Valley Dreamlight Valley: Coconut Recipes
Much like real life, Coconuts in Disney Dreamlight Valley are a tropical fruit used to make scrumptious desserts or as a substitute for other ingredients. Dishes made with Coconuts will eventually be required for completing specific Dreamlight Duties, Star Path Duties, and customer orders within Chez Remy. However, players will encounter an issue: Dreamlight Valley's Coconuts are not available in any of the unlockable biomes or their corresponding Goofy Stalls.
To get Coconuts in Dreamlight Valley, players must first complete all the quests required to bring Moana and Maui to the Valley. This includes unlocking the Moana Realm and completing both "After the Storm" and "How Far You'll Go." After these two quests are complete Moana will come to the player's Valley, and once they establish her house's location players can return to the Moana Realm to begin Maui's missions.

Gravitas Ventures have announced the acquisition of director Miles Doleac’s macabre riff on the Cernunnos myth, Demigod, which stars Rachel Nichols. The distributor plans for a late-October, day-and-date streaming and theatrical release.
Directed and co-written by Doleac (alongside Michael Donovan Horn), Demigod was produced by Doleac, James Victor Bulian, Lindsay Anne Williams, and Wesley O’Mary, the same team behind 2020’s The Dinner Party. Demigod’s supporting cast includes Doleac, Williams, Elena Sanchez, and Jeremy London.
Says Doleac:
I’m extremely grateful to Jeff Cooper and to Gravitas for their belief in this film’s potential. From its infancy, I knew this was a film that I wanted seen on the big screen. I’m heartened that audiences will have the opportunity to see it in movie theaters, an increasing rarity, of course, for true indie films.
