What was this for? The click bait storyline promises much but the film delivers nothing. The budget for this film was £20,000, an enormous sum of money back in 2008. I really don't know what they spent all that on. Even the overnight hire of a whole sauna during its closed hours wouldn't have cost that much money.
What's Simon doing there anyway? He presumably knew it was a cruising joint but he didn't act on it. Tiger had a reason to be there, at least, to make money.
This was a linear narrative about nothing at all. We see a few bums and some simulated sex but it's all so prim.
I'm so peeved I wasted fifteen minutes on this.

a film seductive for the cultural references. and for a good choice for the lead role. because, not the sexual connotations are the axis of the presence of a shy young man in sauna but the dialogues, revelations, confessions, meets, discoveries, the trip in a bizarre universe who reminds Dante Divina Commedia , Kafka and his short stories or The Castle, Expressionism and Bunuel. "Sweat" is one of films who seduce for the desire of a part of public to see more than a blank story about a boy lost in a dark world. and, maybe, this desire, represents the basic virtue of a film like many others who has the science to be so simple than becomes perfect white page for create few ornaments, significance and meanings.

Considering the subject matter of this one, it could have been really trampy and shown the seedier side of steam rooms, but it was actually quite sweet.
I wish guys like this went to my local spa!!! I would love to meet David Paisley one day! What a fitty, I remember him being really cute in 'Tinsel Town' and now he's a big beary fella, yum.
I hope he made that call.
