Astronauta

'Astronaut' is a journey that fails to reach its potential, delivering a confusing narrative and characters without charisma.

The script is a labyrinth of disconnected events and twists that defy logic. The lack of empathy for the protagonists is a critical point. With each episode, the desire for them to disappear grows, such is the frustration with their questionable decisions and repetitive dialogues.

The plot, which should be a deep dive into science fiction, becomes a patchwork quilt of poorly worked clichés. The series is lost in its own ambition, wasting an opportunity to follow the line already established by Danilo Beyruth where it originated.

It is unfortunate to see a production with so much potential having wasted money and production time and viewer's time.

I'm brazilian and I grew up reading Mauricio de Souza's comics. They were fantastic, really good ones. And among the characters, I really has a fond with The Astronaut and his spheric spaceship (a very good concept). He lived many short adventures with his also spheric spacesuit (not a good concept).

The problem with the series is, in order to make it "adult", they make a kind of mix of Solaris and 2001. A bad one mix.

A good adult animation doesn't have to be confuse. There is no need of complex ideas and there is no need to be ... so slow... it doesn't make a movie more "adult", only make it boring... Well, I watched 4 episodes and it is getting worse... I hope next episodes becoming better.
