Jalsa (2008)

FAQ

Jalsa

FAQ

Actually if remove the naxalism, the move is pretty common lovestory, and is very much similiar to Kushi. Sanjay falls for bhagi, difference incorporate and quarrel for some time and in the end unite. If you see this movie, then every one will start commenting as very routine move, no story, no emotions, similiar to many other movies like kushi etc. So Trivikram, cleverly incorporated the naxalism. Advantages of this is: A story is available, mass elements, emotions added, length of movie increased, message given(who ever has gun is right), Flashback episode(now a days a movie without flashback is treated as dumb), some more comedy.

DIsadvantages: could not carry the movie or story forward and is like a hole in a iceberg which many of viewers did not like.

How can Pawan earning 3000 rupees as stipend and living in a posh flat?

This was clearly explained in the movie, Pawan lives with his friends teaching kungfu and yoga, the flat is ali's, the furnitures are of Uttej's. This was explained when parvati meton(jo) comes and proposes to pawan.

There was no much emphasis on he being a naxalite.

This is self explainatory, even if 5-10 mins of naxalisim is shown more than what it is now, viewers start feeling bored and say that second half is too heavy, dragged, no entertainment etc.. etc.. examples(Parugu, athidi, jagadam, okkudunnadu etc), so the clever Tivikram has managed to cutshort at the right time so that viewers don't feel like dragged or bored. It is commercial thinking. After all, a movie is to entertain.
