Two of the Same

This is the classic shuttered room mystery where someone is murdered but the doors and windows are locked from the inside--heavily locked! The first such mystery may have been about C. Auguste Dupin in "Murders in the Rue Morgue." Here the mystery involves the writings of a man who aspired to be taken seriously but only had great success in Agatha Christie-like mysteries. Though it was the same man, different authorships were established. But somewhere in the past there was a murder, and it was rooted back to a woman.

The solving of the closed room business is quite satisfying as well and quite believable.
