Addison Rae has seemingly left her influencer career for music and acting but she still considers TikTok as her livelihood. She grew in popularity on the platform in 2019 and is currently the fifth most-followed individual on the platform. She recently commented on the TikTok ban controversy and has a clear opinion on whether Donald Trump should be thanked for reinstating it.

Rae ventured into films with the Netflix comedy He’s All That. Her music career had a less-than-stellar start with the critically panned single, Obsessed. However, she made a strong back after signing with Columbia Records and collaborated with Charli Xcx on the Von Dutch remix. Her 2024 single, Diet Pepsi, received positive reviews.

A few years ago, when Addison Rae walked into a meeting with Columbia Records CEO Ron Perry, the TikTok sensation didn’t have any songs to play. And yet, she ended up with a record deal all the same. “I just mood-boarded my vibes,” Rae told Rolling Stone in her February 2025 cover story. “I literally had no music to play him at that point, so it was about trust. Donald Trump Jr.‘s former fiancé, Kimberly Guilfoyle, debuted a new look one month after he slammed her style and then dumped her.
In early December 2024, a political source close to the Trump family said that Trump Jr. “has been telling people for months that [Guilfoyle] is so uptight and always dresses so professionally in these kinds of dresses and high heels, and never looks relaxed or casual… The tight dresses need to go, and she has been told that.”
Last week, Guilfoyle posted a picture on her Instagram story, showing her in her home wearing an outfit that contrasts her previous racy ensembles.
Instead of the tight-fitting clothes, she posed in a white off-the-shoulder knit dress with a pair of knee-high boots. Her face was also covered in heavy makeup.
Guilfoyle, who had been named U.S. ambassador to Greece last month, was promoting Coco Love Water, a sustainable replacement to canned coconut water.

“Wicked,” which was by far the highest grossing film in the world this weekend, failed to give the South Korea box office market a much-needed jolt.
The Jon M. Chu-directed fantasy claimed a strong 45% share of the box office in Korea with $3.58 million earned from 501,000 admissions between Friday and Sunday. Over five days, it collected $4.64 million.
Korean-produced “Hidden Face” earned $1.75 million, and a more than 21% market share, for second place. Over its full five-day opening, it accumulated $2.41 million.
Directed by Kim Dae-woo (“Obsessed”), the film is a remake of the 2011 Spanish-Columbian picture of the same title. It involves a woman who is thought to have disappeared, but instead is trapped in a secret room in her house. She is forced to be an observer as her fiancé becomes romantically entangled with another woman. It stars Cho Yeo-jeong, Song Seung-heon and Park Ji-hyun.

The nominations for the 2010 Academy Awards, recognizing the films that were released in 2009, were announced on February 2 at 5:38 a.m. I remember because I got up early to watch them. That year saw Sandra Bullock nominated for Best Actress (for "The Blind Side") alongside Helen Mirren ("The Last Station"), Gabourey Sidibe ("Precious"), Carey Mulligan ("An Education"), and Meryl Streep ("Julie & Julia").
The night before the Oscar announcements, however, the notorious Golden Raspberry awards, a.k.a. the Razzies, announced their nominees for the worst films of 2009. The Razzies are, of course, a hotly contested tradition, and it has many critics who point out the mean-spiritedness of the awards as well as its tendency to pick on pop movies and already hated performers. The nominees for Worst Actress that year were Sandra Bullock ("All About Steve"), Beyoncé ("Obsessed"), Miley Cyrus ("The Hannah Montana Movie"), Sarah Jessica Parker ("Did You Hear About the Morgans?...

Ever since The Night Agent's explosive premiere on Netflix back in March 2023, the hit Netflix original series has had a rollercoaster ride to season 2. After being renewed five days after its premiere, The Night Agent season 2 has been confirmed to release in 2024, and then later pushed back to 2025 after the strikes' impacts. But now new information suggests a 2024 release is back on the table.
On Sept. 2, The Night Agent Instagram page shared a fan-edited video of Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland set to Mariah Carey's hit song "Obsessed." In the comments, a fan inquired whether season 2 would be "approaching really really fast," to which the page's admin responded, "November is the anticipated release." Addison Rae is one of the biggest stars born out of TikTok, but her talents are bringing her onto the Hollywood scene as a singer, dancer and actress.
The 23-year-old Louisiana-born sensation rose to fame doing dancing videos, and she quickly became one of the most-followed personalities on the social media platform.
She briefly attended Louisiana State University (Lsu) to study sports broadcasting, but dropped out and moved to LA as she began skyrocketing on social media.
By 2021, she was making her music industry debut with “Obsessed,” and later on her Ar EP. In 2024, she appeared on Charli xcx‘s “Von dutch” remix, and made her Columbia Records debut with “Diet Pepsi,” which has only steadily been growing in popularity, earning her nearly 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify to date. As of September 2024, the song entered the Global Spotify charts for the first time!

Rock music is far from dead. Last year’s Grammy nominations proved that, with some of the leading acts in music being present in the rock categories. Alongside legends like The Rolling Stones and Metallica, the field was graced by the presence of Gen-z’s favorite artists, such as Boygenius, Arctic Monkeys and Olivia Rodrigo. So to find great rock music these days, you just have to pay attention. We are certainly paying attention this year, with a slew of buzzy releases already in the conversation to take home the gold come Grammy time.
One of the biggest stories in rock this season is the return of The Beatles with the single “Now and Then.” It’s unclear if the song will be competing in pop or in rock, but either way it’s for sure getting them a nomination. A music video made to their hit song “I’m...

On Saturday night, Gwen Stefani and Olivia Rodrigo rocked the stage at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.
The No Doubt frontwoman and ex-Disney star obviously knew how to amp up a crowd. Stefani had her hair in braided buns and rocking plaid. Rodrigo was in a crop top that said, “I heart sign Nd” – a reference to No Doubt, Stefani’s band.
Rodrigo has been busy performing at her Guts World Tour before stopping by at Coachella. She recently released her deluxe album with the new hit song, “Obsessed,” that has gone viral on TikTok.
Rodrigo recently sparked controversy after handing out Plan B pills at her shows. She has expressed her support for about abortion rights, and her Fund 4 Good will make proceeds from the tour go to women’s health care organizations. She called out the Supreme Court at a music festival for overturning Roe v.

Nearly 15 years ago, Mariah Carey took aim at an extensively gossipy person spreading her business around. On “Obsessed,” the first single from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, opens with the songstress chuckling before asking: “Why are you so obsessed with me?” It’s the same question Ariana Grande tried to get to the bottom of on her latest single, “Yes, And,” where she ponders: “Why do you care so much whose — I ride? Why?” Naturally, Grande sought out Carey — an expert on dodging obsessed spectators — for the song’s official remix.

Production is officially underway for Obsessed, a new, Broadway-bound Diane Warren bio-musical: Producers announced today that licensing deals are set for songs that will be featured in the score, including the Taylor Swift hit “Say Don’t Go.”
A successful developmental workshop was held in New York City last year, directed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall with a book by two-time Tony winner Joe Dipietro. Michael Cohl and Irit TenHengel, who announced the licensing deals today, formed a partnership to produce the musical on Broadway.
A full production schedule, casting and additional creative team will be announced soon.
Although a list of songs to be included in the musical was not released, producers said they secured rights to Warren-penned songs made famous by, in addition to Swift, Beyonce, Cher, Aerosmith, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga and more.
