The worst thing one can do while watching Attack on Titan is assume that what has been told is the truth. This is because Hajime Isayama continues to introduce plot twists that redefine all the information the audience has. One second, you believe that Eren’s journey is one of revenge fueled by his mother’s death, and the next you realize that it was Eren who was responsible for it.
In this way, every new revelation changes what we already know about the world in Attack on Titan. The best example of this is Grisha Yeager’s character arc. Fans’ perception of him drastically changed with every scene that featured him. The mangaka kept surprising us, and it took a long time for Grisha’s character arc to conclude in the story.

Attack on Titan truly pulls no punches in a way few anime series do, starting off the first ever episode with a scene of unspeakable tragedy and gore. The Titans immediately destroyed the walls of Shiganshina and massacred countless citizens, and this was only the beginning of the darkness to come.
Because the series is set during a war, death is an everyday occurrence for these characters, making for some of the most tear-jerking situations in anime. Although Attack on Titan does have a grim emotional tone overall, a handful of scenes go a step further by candidly portraying the repercussions of war and the losses that can never be regained.

If you thought Attack on Titan was over, you couldn’t be more wrong. The makers are going to squeeze out as much content as they can from Hajime Isayama’s popular anime-manga series. However, it might be a good thing as seeing the brutal imagery and the exciting final fight on the silver screen would be a top-tier experience. Moreover, there’s a new post-credit scene as revealed by the official X handle of Attack on Titan.

Marley, the yellow lab, is hailed as one of Hollywood's most beloved animals thanks to 2008's Marley & Me, but his story has real-life inspirations. The David Frankel film is the perfect blend of humor, love, and loss, and it is one of the best tearjerker movies that will make anyone cry. It tells the story of newlyweds, John and Jennifer, navigating a new stage of their lives after adopting a troublesome puppy that leaves heaps of havoc in his wake.
John and Jennifer are portrayed by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, respectively. John spends 13 years with Marley as audiences follow his marital troubles, career strife, and challenges in welcoming the new addition to their family. Not only is the film very emotional, but the ending is incredibly heartbreaking. Marley & Me is based on a real-life memoir of John Grogan, published in 2005.

For the last 20 years, the music biopic genre has remained a steady constant, frequently elevating young actors to Oscar-winning fame and reviving musical legends as cinematic gods. From 2004s Ray to 2024s Back to Black, music biopics have seen wildly different results at the box office, with half of the list eclipsing the $100 million mark. Creating the perfect rendition of this genre means marrying a star actor with a musical personality, but reaching box office success requires a bit of luck and a pinch of cosmic intervention.
Music biopics are a unique movie genre in that they crystallize contemporary cultures mythology stories. Superstars like Freddy Mercury, Tupac, and Elvis sit atop the Pantheon of musical legends, and the event-style biopic blockbusters of today aim to capture their larger-than-life heros journey. These recent titles showcase the development of music biopics from star vehicles to bona fide mega-blockbuster hits with lofty budgets...

Quick Links What Is Bob: Marley One Love About? What the Biopic Fails to Address Bob Marley Derseves Better
One of the biggest surprise hit movies at the international box office, Bob Marley: One Love struck a chord with the masses upon release in February 2024. Yet, for all the commercial success, earning roughly $180 million worldwide (via Box Office Mojo), most agree that the film is a standard, run-of-the-mill biopic that robs the brilliant artist's subject of a fully-rounded portrait. Despite the radiant charms of star Kingsley Ben-Adir in the lead role, the film sanitizes Bob Marley's life story to tell an uplifting story of a positive role model overcoming poverty in Jamaica to achieve international superstardom.
There's a stultifying simplicity to the movie that does a disservice to the three-dimensional complexity Bob Marley was known for. Most telling, the lack of compelling high-stakes drama makes the movie feel like a...

While he may be best known for features such as “The King of Scotland” and “The Mauritanian,” Kevin Macdonald has directed a number of documentaries about well-known figures, including 2012’s Bob Marley doc “Marley,” 2018’s revelatory “Whitney” about Whitney Houston and last year’s “High & Low: John Galliano.” His latest film, “Klitschko: More Than a Fight” — which opens the 2024 Sheffield Doc/Fest on Wednesday (and lands on Sky Documentaries in August) — is a little different.

Peter Bart: In A Buzz-Less Market, Smart New Movies Must Overcome Critics’ Disdain & Audience Torpor
“Uninspired.” “Never catches fire.” “Non-memorable.”
I was sifting through reviews last weekend as the first step in my mission to re-discover the habit of moviegoing. With Barbenheimer finally behind us, I decided to see three new movies on successive days – yes, buying tickets and going to theaters.

Monday Am: No surprise as Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love continues to overperform now at $52M over 6-days after a better than expected Sunday of $9.45M (to originally expected $8.55M).
Monday is looking to ring in $5.5M. Current 3-day is $28.6M, 4-day is $34.1M. Some falsely guessed that coming off a record Valentine’s Day of $14M that Bob Marley: One Love would be front-loaded, ala The Color Purple which posted $18.1M on its opening Christmas Day (granted that had previews rolled into it). However, Bob Marley has a bigger appeal than that feature take of the Broadway musical; for in six days, the reggae legend biopic has already made 86% of what Color Purple finaled at ($60.5M). Overall, a great start for what will be a piece of counterprogramming as we approach Dune: Part Two on March 1.

Valentine's Day gave the box office the shot in the arm it sorely needed as both Paramount's "Bob Marley: One Love" and Sony's "Madame Web" opened in theaters. They will both have a nice, long initial stretch as they not only got the mid-week holiday opening, but they will benefit from this Monday's President's Day holiday as well. As far as the head-to-head battle goes? It's not going to be remotely close, as the Bob Marley biopic is crushing Sony's latest Marvel Comics adaptation in the early going.
"One Love" pulled in $14 million on Wednesday, which marks a new record for a mid-week Valentine's Day opening. While that's nowhere near the record "Deadpool" ($42.5 million) set on the holiday back in 2016, which fell on a Sunday that year, it's now a high watermark for a non-weekend V Day debut. The previous record holder was 2012's "The Vow" ($11.6 million). Given...

Exciting Details About Naa Saami Ranga Vs Saindhav(Photo Credit –Facebook)
For Tollywood, Sankranti is the biggest festive season. Due to back-to-back holidays, many makers prefer this festival slot for their big releases, and this year was no different. Let’s compare their final collection, budget, and ratings!
Closing collection of Naa Saami Ranga & Saindhav
Starring Nagarjuna in the lead role, Naa Saami Ranga was released on 14th January and opened to positive reviews from critics. Even word-of-mouth was favorable, but the same wasn’t reflected in the collection. After a good start, the film didn’t continue the momentum for long and wrapped up its run at 30.50 crores net at the Indian box office. It equals 35.99 crores gross.

North American Box Office: Here’s Day Estimates Of Madame Web & Bob Marley: One Love(Photo Credit –YouTube/IMDb)
Yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, we saw two major releases locking horns with each other at the North American box office. Yes, we’re talking about Dakota Johnson’s Madame Web and Kingsley Ben-Adir’s Bob Marley: One Love. Considering the differences in genres, there’s no clash as such, but still, they will affect others’ businesses to an extent. Let’s see how much both films earned on their day 1!
This year, there haven’t been any tentpole releases so far, but still, things are fair enough. Films like The Beekeeper and Mean Girls raked in good numbers and turned out to be box office successes. Other than that, there are holdovers like Wonka running in theatres. Now, two new Hollywood releases have hit theatres, but none of them are looking to score big.

Full confession: I love Bob Marley, so a biographical drama about the reggae icon is pure catnip for me. Bob Marley: One Love, a charming, personal look at the music giant, is produced by his son, musician Ziggy Marley. Ziggy Marley influenced the casting of Kingsley Ben-Adir, who is excellent as Bob Marley. The drama covers his life, music and beliefs, religious and political, with a special focus on his relationship with his wife Rita, played by the also excellent Lashana Lynch.
The film opens at a pivotal moment for Marley, as he is preparing for a concert in Jamaica that he hopes will soothe heated political tempers in the run-up to an election. The opposite happens, with an assassination attempt on the singer. Moving back and forth in time,...

Bob Marley: One Love is a biographical film that explores the life and career of iconic musician Bob Marley until his death in 1981. Lashana Lynch, who plays Rita Marley in the film, talked about capturing Rita's energy and the deep bond between Rita and Bob, which is rooted in respect and love. Authentic representation of Jamaica during that time period was important to Lynch, who is Jamaican herself. She hopes the film showcases the vibrancy and spirit of the country to both those who have been there and those who haven't.

Michelle Buteau’s new TV series, adapted from her books of essays, is a refreshing take on our run-of-the-mill rom-com. The show is energetic and diverse—exactly the kind of thing Netflix needs to make more of! It is unfortunate that we got only eight short episodes of this easy-breezy binge-watch, so it would be so fantastic to see a second season real soon. Netflix hasn’t renewed the hot new show just yet, but we can imagine, with the majorly positive response it’s received, we’re likely to get a second season sooner than later. We’re so tired of seeing the same beauty standards and non-diverse media that we should definitely be encouraging such shows to be brought to the limelight and renewed. If you haven’t seen the show yet and just stumbled upon this article, check out our full review for reasons to watch Survival Of The Thickest.

At the peak of popularity, Fullmetal Alchemist received a 51-episode anime adaptation in 2003–2004. At the time, though, the manga series was still ongoing. The anime studio Bones had several options while waiting for the manga series to complete. They could have gone the My Hero Academia route of producing story arcs on a seasonal basis to align with the manga or the Bleach route of creating original side stories. Instead, the studio honored Hiromu Arakawa's request. The series pivoted from the manga, only covering seven volumes of the original material and providing a different ending.
Fans of Fullmetal Alchemist were indifferent about the original ending for this series, but they understood Arakawa's wishes. Some fans did not even watch the original series and only acknowledged Brotherhood as the only adaptation of the series. However, even though it is not the actual ending of the manga, Fullmetal Alchemist provides an...

Martin Scorsese hit Vegas on Thursday. No, he wasn’t there to revisit the Sin City locale of “Casino,” one of his mob masterpieces. He traveled to the gambling Mecca bearing his latest opus, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” a labyrinthine story of murder and greed that, if he plays his cards right, might be one of this year’s major awards contenders.
The “greatest living director” shared the first trailer for the film at CinemaCon, the annual conference of theater owners that’s been taking place this week. Based on David Grann’s bestselling book, “Killers of the Flower Moon” is a true story, one that pulls back the curtain on a series of murders of wealthy Osage people that took place in the early 1920s after major oil deposits were discovered on their land. It also looks at how the newly formed FBI investigated the killings.

This post contains spoilers for "Attack on Titan."
Many TV shows become different as they go on. New characters are introduced, others depart, and status quos are torn down. What's rarer is that a show uproots its whole premise. And yet, that's what "Attack on Titan" does.
A bombshell twist at the end of season 3 reveals the show's setting is only a drop in the bucket of a much larger, much different world. Season 4, adapting chapters 91 to 139 of Hajime Isayama's original manga, explores that world. Along the way, the story changes from a purely black-and-white conflict about people slaying monsters into a man-versus-man story. Whereas before the heroes were fighting for survival, the conflicts of season 4 were more abstract, rooted in prejudice spanning generations and the resultant cycle of revenge.
As the "Attack on Titan" final season approaches its end, it's time to ask: was this change for better or worse?...

Paramount's Bob Marley Biopic has found its director in King Richard helmer Reinaldo Marcus Green. Deadline reports that Green has officially boarded the project, which will be produced by the late reggae icon's family members Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley on behalf of Tuff Gong. Robert Teitel is also producing.
"Bob Marley's music lives on in all of us," Reinaldo Marcus Green told Deadline in a statement. "His lyrics transcend continents, color, creed, and generations of people. It heals. It fights. It bleeds love and truth. It's a true honor and privilege to work with Ziggy and the Marley Family, and Paramount Pictures to bring his story to life. Audiences want to know the real Bob, the man as well as the legend. I trust this film will bring us closer to understanding his journey, his music, and continue to carry the torch of his legacy with humility and grace,...

Dominic Cooke says he is stepping away from directing next year’s Get Up, Stand Up – The Bob Marley Musical after recent conversations on race changed his mind about helming the stage project.
Taking his place will be Clint Dyer, the actor and director whose credits include Death Of England at the UK’s National Theater, and Cooke has lent his full support to his replacement.
“In recent weeks the conversation about race has changed in theatre, as it has across society. With that in mind, and after much reflection, I have decided to step aside from my role to make way for Clint Dyer to lead the project,” said Cooke, whose credits include the play Follies and its planned film adaptation, as well as On Chesil Beach, The Hollow Crown, and the upcoming The Courier (previously Ironbark).
“Clint is a brilliant theatre-maker and an inspiring leader. I can’t...
